I need some advice on how to find a relative in Los Angeles.
It is known that an "Aunt Elizabeth" lived in Los Angeles..at least one of my aunts visited her (probably in the 1930's). Of course, this aunt died and others in the family remember her.......but, little else.
"Aunt Elizabeth" is believed to be Mary Elizabeth Evans. Elizabeth was a sister of my great grandmother Martha (Evans) Rogers. Elizabeth was born in Parkerford, Chester County, Pennsylvania.
According to an obituary of her brother, Franklin R. Evans, in 1945 she was 86 years old. The obituary states that Franklin R. Evans was survived by a sister, Mary Elizabeth Evans, of California (an earlier obituary for another brother, Amer S. Evans, in 1942 places her in Los Angeles).
Last time I looked...Los Angeles was a big place...even in 1945. Will vital records do a search for me or is there another way to locate Aunt Elizabeth?
Any help appreciated.
Andy
