Dear List,

I am trying to discover what happened to CHARLES ALBERT LONG, who was living
in Los Angeles, at 3087 W. Pico, in 1908 (from city directory), and who then
simply disappears.

His death is not listed, nor is that of his wife, ANNA BELLE LONG, in the CA
Death Index, 1905-1997, but several of his children were still in Los Angeles,
as boarders without their parents, in the 1910 census. These children were
young enough to have required a guardian, if they inherited any significant
amount of property.

Unfortunately, the LDS have not microfilmed the LA County Probate Index for
the period in which Charles and Anna disappeared, so I ask whether any of you
good folk would be willing to look at it for me, to see whether it mentions any
records which would shed light on this mystery. I think the relevant span of
years would be just 1908 thru 1912.

Any help will be greatly appreciated by
