Subject: [CAMadera] Ella S. (Coffman) Campbell
Date: Sat, 7 Sep 2002 00:11:45 EDT

Ella S. Campbell was born in Kansas (specific location unknown) 31 March 1891
and was the daughter of Edward A. and Minnie (Cross) Coffman who married in
Belmont Co OH in 1890.

According to the California Death Index, she was a resident of Madera Co.
when she died there in December of 1947.

We have found her grave at Pierce Brothers Valhalla Cemetery in North
Hollywood CA. Her stone is marked "Beloved Wife". I presume that her
husband survived her from that stone marking??? Who was her husband???
There is no indication of her husband being buried next to her. Did they
have children???

Ella's spinster Aunt Lucinda Ella Cross is also buried at Valhalla fairly
close to Ella.

Why was Ella taken from Madera County to North Hollywood for burial? I do
not know what happened to her parents but find no record of them buried at
Valhalla.

There is no death certificate at the courthouse for Ella. Could this entry
on the California Death Index be incorrect and she perhaps died elsewhere?

Does anyone have information or suggestion as to how to pursue more
information on Ella?

Carolyn
