Hi Angie,
Thank you for the information. My dad's father was David Ross Jones (Mack) married to Daisy Whitfield. Their children were my dad, Floyd, Olive, Lawrence, Winifred, and Mack Jr.
Floyd adopted a daughter. Olive had one daughter Mernie.
Winnie had 1 daughter Maxie, Lawrence had 5 daughters, Denise, Dawn, Dale, Darla and Diane. (That must have been fun for mom to keep strait!) Mack Jr was killed in an auto accident when he was around 21.
All of dads siblings are now deceased including my dad, last year.
I had 3 brothers, now also deceased. One in an auto accident 13 years ago , one last year, and one was an infant.
Dad's grandparents were Mary and Tom Jones.I know he used to mention his aunts. I met Dollie when she was married to Howdy Smith and they lived in Big Pine Calif. She was first married to a mand named Williams from Bass Lake.
I heard him mention the aunts and uncles, but I never got to meet them, that I can recall.
I think my cousin Maxie has a picture of Princess Memerite (aka Mary Strombeck). May she would share a copy of it. I would like to have one also. I wish there were records of Chief Hawa, too, but I guess it doesn't go that far.
I have visited with Bob Hayes whose father was Reginald, I think.
I don't have much more, I'm just kind of looking too. It is all so interesting to me.
Thanks for the note.
Keep in touch
Jennifer Jones Feiock
