This is a note from the other Cavin family in the Fresno/Madera Area.
After serving in the Union Army throughout the Civil War John Wallace Cavin brought his family to California and was one of the pioneer stockmen in the Auberry/Pine Ridge area in Fresno County. The family left Fairbanks Iowa and arrived in Millerton ( Fort Miller) in about 1871 The Parent of J.W. Cavin.were Mathew Hayes Cavin b. abt 1810 SC and Sarah C. McIntyre b. 1809 Adams Co Ohio. They married in Brush Creek (Adams Co Ohio) on March 15, 1832.
I would like to communicate with relatives to this line.
