Hi Carolyn and All,
When Disbro first posted that clip he and I discussed it and waited for
a bit of follow-up news. There was none. My Louis CASTAGNETTO was born
in 1867, therefore he would have been 18 when LONGO was killed. I, too,
have no found no other mention of a LONGO.
Interestingly, Louis had a sister, Katherine CASTAGNETTO, who married
Stefano NOVANO in 1884. I have no info on what happened to Stefano, but
Katherine kept her maiden name (CASTAGNETTO) and died a widow in 1907.
Maybe someone can help us solve this mystery?
