Hello,

I have the newspaper information regarding the shooting of Egide Bauer by D.
K. Pitzer in July of 1881, and the results of the court proceedings, but would
like very much to get copies of the court records. Pitzer turned himself in
almost immediately following the shooting. Apparently the trial was held some
time in September, with the results printed Oct. 1. Around Oct. 8 the
sheriff took Pitzer to San Quentin.

Is there some way I could get copies of those court records without making
the trip to Mariposa? I would be happy to pay someone for their time, the cost
of copies and mailing costs. Please contact me by e-mail if you could do this
