Looking for ancestors or descendants of James CAMERON, married to
Annis ? on February 2, 1852 at Potsdam, St. Lawrence Co., NY, They
lived at Canton or Colton, St. Lawrence Co. NY. Annis already had a
son, Charles, when she married James Cameron. Annis and James had
1) George Cameron - b. Sept. 1, 1853 2) Jane Cameron - b. April
21, 1856 3) James Cameron - b. July 26, 1858 4) Odelia Cameron-
b. June 30, 1862.
James Cameron ( the father) was killed in action in the Civil War
in 1864 near Middletown, Va. Annis applied for a pension in 1866. She
and the children were living in Canton, NY at that time. Any info on
this family, or a date of death or place of burial for any would be
deeply appreciated.
