The name was based upon the Gaelic, and means WRY NOSE. I have a wry
nose so I use this as a SMILEY :~)

CAMPELL means WRY MOUTH. I have met a couple of them, that have quite a
twisted mouth.

Those observations would have been very valid in early days before motor
cars and trains, folk stayed in their own villages and married cousins
with same surnames.

BUT! today, if you are a CAMERON cos ggg grandpa was a CAMERON then
note, you had another 15 ancestors in his generation, maybe a Murphy, a
Marcellin, a Figaro and an Olejnik etc etc. So one sixteenth of your
genes, flowed from that ggg grandpa to you, but the other 94 percent of
you is NOT Cameron!!

It is a social/legal thing in most Western countries that makes us pay
attention to Daddy's surname. We got brainwashed!!
