Clan Cameron of North America will soon announce sponsorship of a Cameron DNA project
via Family Tree DNA of Houston, TX. This will be the "Y" chromosome test that is aimed
at proving the male line of those bearing the Cameron surname. In order to properly launch
the project, a minimum of six participants is needed, at a cost of $99 per test. If you are
interested in being one of the first six participants, please contact me at .
The best results can be expected if you have an already established contact or person to whom
you believe you are directed related. Only males with the surname Cameron will be tested.
However, females (who genetically do not carry the Y chromosome) may participate by
encouraging or sponsoring male Cameron relatives. We are not collecting money at this
point but attempting to identify persons interested, when the project begins within the next
month.
