Seeking links/knowledge of descendants of John McLean and Julia McPherson, Appin, Argyll, 19th century. Like his father Malcolm, John was a sea captain as were two of his sons. Three sons emigrated to New Zealand and were sheep farmers in Southland (Hugh 1846, Duncan 1840 and John 1838). There were also Ewen 1847, Robert 1851, Mary, Catherine 1842, Agnes 1849 m.Davidson? Ann 1850; Isabel 1852 m. Cameron (nothing further known); Julia 1853, m.Hardy. New Zealand histories recorded and available to share. Please come back.
