ALLEN - I am trying to locate ANY descendants of my Great grandfather's
Brother, Arthur who married Elizabeth Ladamm and lived in Montpelier, Vt-
4 of Arthur(Sr)'s children came to CA as adults. They were: Arthur E. (b.
6-1-1893), Charles E.(b.6-1-1893) & James R.(b.2-1-1895) All born in Montpelier
VT. The boys all settled in Bradley, Monterey Co, CA. Arthur was a Deputy
County Tax Assessor in Monterey Co. for a number of years. He is buried
in the San Miguel Cemetery in San Miguel, Monterey Co. Arthur(Sr) was a
brother to my Great grandfather, James Allen, b in London England, 1854,
but Arthur was born in Westfield, Mass . My father, James Edward Allen,
was unaware of his cousins in CA, and thought we were the first branch
of the family to come to CA. We arrive here in Nov 1948 and settled in
the Los Angeles area. I live near Palm Springs. I have primary documentations
back to Peter in Ireland. Any contact with a descendant would be most welcome.
