This Indenture Made the Twentieth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy-seven, Between Wm G. HUDSON of Monterey County, State of California, party of the first part, and Ann E. DAVIS of Monterey County, State of California Party of the second part: Witnesseth: That the said party of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of One Dollar ? of the United States of America to me in hand paid by the said party of the second part, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged do by these presents grant, bargain, sell, and convey unto the said party of the second part, and to her heirs and assigns forever, all of the piece of land hereafter described bounded as follows
Beginning in the middle of the road leading from Watsonville to Watsonville Landing and at the Easterly corner of Wm G. HUDSON land: thence meandering along the middle of the said Road to Watsonville Landing, South 55° West 10 Chs, South 41 ½° West 6.13 Chs, South 29 ¾° West 11.85 Chs, South 2° West 11.56 Chs, South 45° West 9.00 Chs, South 73° West 6.0 Chs, leaving road land of Steam ?rat Co North 3 ½° East 6.80 chs, North 86 ½° West 6.07 Chs, South 3 ½° West 7.30 Chs, South 61° West 9.90 Chs, North 52 ½° West 12.00 Chs, North 2° West 30.00 Chs, South 53 ¾° East 24.42 Chs, North 14 ¼° East 18.25 Chs, North 31 ½° East 13.50 Chs, South 76 ¾° East 25.63 chs to the place of beginning Containing 131 acres of land more or less.
Together with all and singular the tenements, hereditaments, and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining, and the reversion and reversions, remainder and remainders, rents, issues and profits Thereof: To have and to hold, all and singular the said premises together with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part, her heirs and assigns, forever,
