To Doris,

I noticed that you have a John Irving Camp in your line. I don't
know if this will help or not, but my dad was James IRVAN Camp.
I always assumed that my grandmother made the name up and couldn't
understand why a "Southern redneck family" would name a child Irving.
Since beginning my research I've found several IRVANs. Even close
family members have always botched my dad's name. Perhaps this is
the case with your John Irving Camp and his name might really be Irvan.
Just a thought.

If anyone knows the source of the name, I'd love to hear about it.
