Her descendants and other Hazlett researchers may appreciate the
following clipping from The Wellsboro Agitator of Tues, Nov. 1, 1887
that was recently posted on Joyce Tice' Tri-County web site.

"Mrs. David Hazlett
Mrs. David Hazlett, of Westfield township, went to Westfield borough
last Saturday and while engaged in trading at one of the stores she fell
to the floor, dying almost instantly. She was 48 years of age. She
leaves a husband and three sons. The funeral was held at Middlebury,
her former home, yesterday afternoon and it was largely attended. Mrs.
Hazlett was a daughter of the late Calvin Goodwin, and she was an
estimable woman."

For those of you who may be interested, but don't already know, Susan
was the first of David's three wives. David was the 4th of 11 children
of Archibald & Cynthia Hammond Hazlett (who are familiar names to most
of you).
