Because the same message in words has no impact. "Snorrrrrrrrrrrre..."
stirred.

I'm having withdrawal pains brought on by the noticeable absence of
Diarmid's activity on the list.

His insights into our history and present-day culture are always
entertaining and educational. In fact, I often feel like filling out a
class-audit card and paying tuition. Diarmid...? Hello...? Where do I
send the tuition? And is there a syllabus for the summer quarter?

And there are others whose contributions have been fun and enlightening --
Tom Mungall and George Coppen.

I've filled-in so many family genealogy charts I'm ready to scream! Every
now and then, I need a spike of cultural history, something other than the
date of a birth, and the date of a death. If most of your family lived in
the Salt Lake area, the seat of genealogy research, you'd know the feeling
of being inundated with family group records, even if you live 1000 miles
away as I do.

TRANSLATION: Does anyone have knowledge of little-known facets of
Campbell history they'd like to share? With pencils sharpened, I'm ready
to take notes.
