Hello cousins and friends,

I am new to the list and thought I would drop my line to everyone. My
furthest ancestor back is Andrew J. Campbell. He married Mary Ann E.
Brown in Cherokee County, Texas on May 31,1855. He had 11 children, one
of which was my great grandfather, Charles Henry Campbell. He married
Roville V. Yeargan and had 14 children. One of them was my grandmother.
The first place I can trace them to is Polk county, AR. In December
1920, they came over on the train and with covered wagons and settled in
Ashland, Pittsburg county, OK. I am interested in the TX connection. If
any of these names sound familiar, let me know. If anyone has any good
suggestions for tracing these men, I would appreciate them. I don't see
many messages from people in the south tracing Campbells. I wonder why?
