I'm back once again.

What I have gathered on the parents of Richard H. Campbell and the
siblings I listed before, is that they were Abraham Campbell born @ 1794 in
RussellCo., Va. Abraham died 28 Dec. 1858 in Russell Co., Va. Was told
that Abraham is buried in the Campbell Cem. there. His parents were Henry
and Jane
Campbell. I do not have a surname for Jane. It appears that Abraham did
a lot of moving from the time he and Winnie were married in Russell Co.,
Va. From the records that I have, there first two children were William H.
born in 1820 and Washington born in 1823. (Now there may have been earlier
children but I do not have any records for them and also Washington's first
name may have been George. abc)

Apparently Abraham and Winne took the migration route south and west from
Lebonan, Russell Co., Va. (The Campbell farm I believe was located about
six miles south and perhaps a little east of there), to Powell Valley,
Tenn. I believe they went directly to Hawkins Co., Tennessee but that is
not necessarily so. They were there by 1825 for the birth of Richard H.
Campbell. Their fourth son Abraham S. Campbell, born in Tennessee. Their
fifth son, John Wesley Craig Campbell was born in 1821 in Claiborne Co.,
Tenn. Sometime between John Wesley's birth and the birth of David Patton,
their sixth son, whos birth was Nov. 29, 1833 the family moved back to
Russell Co., Va. There next son was James Charles - dont have a birth date
for him at this time - and then their daughter Nancy Ellen who was born in
1830 were both born in Va., probably in Russell Co. There was a child that
died as a child but I don't have information on that child.

Abraham was originally a primitive bapitist, however, he became a
Campbellite minister. This he did along with being a farmer. I have heard
that Winnie was a witch. Now, if a person knew and use herbs as a medican,
they were sometimes called a witch. I do not know in which context that
Winnie was considered a witch. Perhaps she just had a sixth sense, like a
many of her descendants, as you can not be a witch and a christian at the
same time. Abraham is mentioned several time in the records of the
Campbellite church. I do have a copy of his will if anyone is interested.

I will stop for now and start later with the parents of Abraham, who were
Henry and Jane. If you have any information on this family line, will you
please contact me.
