Hello List,
My cousins and I have been searching for a long time, some 30 years, and some of less than that to find the parents of JOHN LAIRD CAMPBELL, born 1798 in Cherry Valley, Otsego Co, NY (it is believed he was born in Cherry Valley but may have been in a town neear there). The family moved when he was a toddler to Duanesburgh, Schnectady Co, NY as the rest of the children were born there and a couple of his sisters were married there, Sarah, & Elizabeth who both married WILHELM brothers. The other siblings were Sybil who married a PLAISTED (unknown first name) and Jesse, and Silas who went to Canada to follow his profession of pugilist and never married, he died in Montreal. Does ANYONE know ANYTHING about the parents of JOHN LAIRD CAMPBELL? Annette Campbell and a dozen others would love your info. Thanks
