My mother's Campbell line is Laughlin, Malcomb, John, Isaac, William
Lee, & John Millard. I have a copy of Laughlin's will with the original
signatures if anyone wants it. I believe that my mother (90 years old and
still growing strong) also has a copy of Malcomb's will, but will have to
wait a week or two until she returns from a visit to her ggrandchildren in
Florida.
William Lee ran away from home in NC and went to SC to join the
Confederate Army because he was too young and maybe in disagreement with his
parents. He married Bethany Friday in Edgefield County SC and wound up in
Southwest Georgia, where he remarried after Bethany's death. Wm Lee &
Bethany had John Millard, George Robert, James E., Annie, Emmie, Minnie Lee,
and Lonnie.
William Lee's second wife was Nannie Culpepper of Mitchell/Baker County,
and they also had seven children. John Millard died in January of the same
year that I was born the following December, and I never knew any of his
siblings or their families. However, I grew up in the area where the second
family lives/lived and know all of them. They have my mother's research, but
I will post the names if anyone wants to add to a database.
