As pointed out in Digest #92, I know this is an international List and
would love to be able to obtain information from abroad. However, in most
cases I have no idea where in Ireland and Scotland my ancestors originated.
For instance, James Samuel Campbell was born in Scotland, married 14Dec1770
to Mary (born in Ireland) , died 1793. Their son, James Samuel Campbell,
Jr., was born 9Feb1783 in Pennsylvania, married Jane Campbell in Grandy
County, KY, and died in Pendleton County, KY. Their son John Milton
Campbell, b. 30Mar1807 in Harrison County, KY, died in Camden, IL 20Dec1880.
In Illinois for 3 generations, then my mother moved to California with her
sister and mother in 1923.
Problem, I have no idea where in Scotland & Ireland my Campbell, McCoy
and McCoid ancestors lived. How can I begin to find out?
