One of my very distant relatives had the middle name of "Brandywine". As
near as we could ever tell his family had come through the Brandywine Valley of
PA but we still can't pin him/them down. Keep on trying.
China could be a mis-spelling or a play on words. You see that infrequently
but it does happen. Write it down and look for something similar later.
You're right. Alfred could be first or last names. Do a search on both for
your area and hope for the best.
