Ann, I agree Stephen is not a common name for a Campbell. I've been trying
to trace a Stephen Campbell for years. This is too early to be yours but
there was a Stephen Campbell living next to a John Campbell in 1820 in Vigo
co, IN. They were both 45+ with children. By 1830 they were both gone.
