Come to think of it. We all need kinship and support. If you are the Beth
that is into genealogy searches, I am into the search of John & Jane Ritchey
Campbell, married 1803-1806 in Wheatfield Twp., Indiana Co., PA. I
understand that the transfer of records from Westmoreland Co., to Indiana
did not fully occur until 1806.

My greatest advance in this family research occurred in Henderson & Warren
Counties, IL. My greatest find is a copy of the Sugar Tree Grove
Presbyterian Church Record Book. (1831 - after 1900). Does anyone know if
the same type records were made and keep in Westmoreland & Indiana Co's, PA.
Middle Presbyterian Church on the River? Such as were keep in IL. Jane's
father Adam Ritchey was one of the first two ELDERS in the Sugar Tree Grove
Church. He was married to Abigail Dill. Further, her grandfather, Adam
Ritchie, was married to Agness Nancy Bolton (note spelling, such is
recorded in records and must be correct.) I need information related to the
correct parents of John Campbell. The 1807 Argi. Cen. List about 5-6
Campbell's in Wheatfield Township and one of them must be the father of
John????? BUT---- Which? My best guess would be Andrew, Buuuuut.

Thanks folks for your considerations. Our John Campbell, husband Jane
Ritchey, was born 1786 Fannett Twp, Franklin Co., PA. I am at the point of
identification & proof of his father.

Your statement comes at a time I am searching a . "John Campbell" b. 1786,
Fannet TWP., Franklin Co., PA. He later moved with
his Campbell family to Wheatfield TWP. Westmoreland Co., PA.

He was there at the change of County from Westmoreland to Indiana Co., PA.
in 1803. (*Note is made that records of the new Indiana Co., may have been
maintained or retained by Westmoreland until 1806, when the changeover was
completed. My review of the records places a John SR. & JR. with three
oldtimer being a David Campbell & William Campbell. I have a real positive
lead there. Such being the marriage of John Campbell & Jane Ritchey bet.
1803 - 1806.

I think it would be closer to the later as controlled by birth dates, John
1786 (at 17) and Jane 1789. (at 14).

Any of the Campbell experts want to take a shot at advising Information
about John. As far as Jane goes, her parents were Adam Ritchey & Abigail
Dill Ritchey and g-parents were Adam Ritchie & Agness Nancy Bolton. There
appears to have been 3 John Campbell's in Franklin Co., Fannett TWP., 2 of
which may not have been related.

Donald Bruner here.

I have found that there are several William Preston's in and around our
Campbell's, Our line has more than one.

William P Campbell son of Mark Campbell & Lucinda Morehead/Moorehead ?
William P. Campbell may be a brother to John Campbell husband of Jane
Ritchey, who is the daughter of Abigail Dill Ritchey & Adam Ritchey,
connected also is Adam Ritchie & Agness Nancy Bolton Ritchie the
grandparents. (note change in spelling. I think that this spelling came over
on the boat and was changed when children were born in USA.

If you find a name of John's parents I sure need same. Take care
