My name is Julie Ann Campbell Hernandez. My father was Patrick Joseph
Campbell; his father was Patrick Joseph Campbell; his father Patrick
Campbell and his father was Hugh Campbell. We were all born and reared in
New Orleans, EXCEPT Hugh Campbell. It's like he just appeared one day in
New Orleans - no parents, no place of birth, no siblings, nothing. Census
records say he was born in Ireland, but where? Also, the earliest census
record I find (1860) says he was 30 years old, which means he was probably
born about 1830. Who were his parents?

Too many questions with no answers! I have looked for this man for about 20
years and have found nothing but records on his children and their children,
all born and reared in New Orleans. Hugh died in 1891 and is buried in New
Orleans.
