Dear Campbell List friends,
Recently there have been many good messages and that is great, but so many
are just using the first person's "subject line". If everyone could write a
subject line that said what their message was about, it would help future
researchers use the archive.
The "subject line" is the one just at the top of the message with the word
Subject next to it. When I started this game I needed simple explanations
like that - so please nobody who knows this already be offended because I
mention it.
You see all your messages are kept for anyone who wants to look through them
later, but since they are listed under the "subject line" they need to say
more than that you are a Campbell or Help. A subject like "William C. 1852
IN, USA" is useful. (that is not a real dude - just an example)
No big deal but I thought those who were new to this might like to know.
And please also remember, like our Canadian cousin mentioned, this List is
not in the US but in cyberspace, (meaning international) so it could be a
big help to everyone if when you post (send a message to this List) you
could put the name of the state as well as the county - and if you are
really good, the country also, please? I know most folk didn't know this
unless they were told, so please nobody feel bad. If you are mad at me for
mentioning this you can beat me over the head with a wet fish on Fridays
(metaphysically).
Diarmid
(Campbell in Argyll Scotland)
