CHITTICK _ Ronald Gordon 1927 - 2007 Ronald Gordon Chittick, born June 21, 1927, passed away at the Foothills Hospital with family present on January 17, 2007. Ron was predeceased by his first wife, Margaret, in 1993, and by his parents, John and Clara Chittick. He is survived by his four sons, Rob (Carol), John (Diana), David (Dana), and James (Maria); and by his eight grandchildren, Laura, Ian, Neil, Michael, Adam, Cameron, Kyler, and Rebecca. He is also survived by his sisters, Mavis Chittick and Betty Davison, as well as by his nieces and nephew. Ron was born in Drumheller, the middle of three children, and moved to Calgary with his family in 1941. He attended Western Canada High School, but left in 1944 to join the Royal Canadian Navy Reserve. He returned to Calgary after his naval service, and married Margaret Ledingham on June 26, 1948. Ron pursued a career as an accountant, earning his Certified General Accountant designation while working and raising his family in C!
algary. He worked for Canadian Superior Oil Ltd. for thirty-six years before retiring as Vice President of Finance in 1986. Ron married his second wife, Gloria Vaughan, in 1995. They spent time in both Vancouver and Calgary, and enjoyed trips to Mexico and the Caribbean. A Celebration of Ron's Life will be held in the Panorama Room at the Calgary Winter Club (4611 - 14 Street N.W.) at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, February 2, 2007.
