8th Annual Paths & Pathfinders: Women of Mission
An exhibit by the
Mission Community Archives
to acknowledge the contribution of women
to the development of Mission

Official Opening:
Saturday October 25, 2003 at 2:00 p.m.
Mission Community Library Meeting Room

This year's exhibit by the Mission Community Archives will feature six new women: Avice Dalke, Mission's first cubmaster and orginator of the Scouting movement in Mission; Lilian Dudfield, an acknowledged leader in community health care; Doreen Phelps, a successful businesswoman and life-long volunteer; Susan Lewis, a former Councillor and Band Manager of the Lakahahmen First Nations Band in Deroche, and Jenny Stevens, a highly respected citizen and Municipal Councillor along with 45 other women previously profiled. At the opening ceremonies, this year's inductee Jenny Stevens will speak about her remarkable career and adventurous life.

The opening day exhibit includes panels on all the 51 women honoured to date. The exhibit of this and last year's honoured "Women of Mission" will be showing at the archives for the next three months.
