ASMUNDSON _ Robert Gerald, died March 1, 2000, age 78.

1, 2000 at the age of 78. He was predeceased by his wife Hazel in 1995.
Gerry will be missed by his loving children, Craig (Gloria), Gail (Ron

farm in Tyner, Saskatchewan and settled in B.C. in 1953, working at
Sigurdson Millwork, then the Burnaby School Board before retiring in 1980.
Although he lived in Burnaby, he was still a farmer at heart and looked
forward to his weekly edition of the Western Producer newspaper from the
Prairies, sharing the jokes from the paper with his family and friends.
Gerry was especially proud of his Icelandic heritage and enjoyed a trip to
Iceland in 1993 with his son Craig and Frank Barry. Gerry also enjoyed
woodworking and over the years many fine pieces of his handiwork filled his
and his families' homes. Gerry read the obituaries in the Sun & Province
ever day, teasing that he was just checking to see if his name was there or
not! Well Dad, this one's for you ... A memorial service will be held at the
family home on Saturday, March 18 at 2:30. In lieu of flowers, donations may
be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of B.C. and Yukon; or take your Dad
