Hi all,

I have been copying the Vancouver Sun obits from their website for a couple
years now with the intention of publishing them or at least an index of them
on this site.

Sometimes I am out of town (more so lately) and am unable to download the
obits, birth, and in memoriam announcements.

If there is someone out there who would be willing to do this on the
occasion that I am away, please contact me at

I do have one man in Ontario who is kindly helping me out, but I would like
to have a backup.

The method that I use to copy the obits is as follows:
- go to the Vancouver Sun website at http://www.vancouversun.com
- select "Classifieds BC" from the dropdown list.
- click on "Announcements".
- click on "Deaths", "Births", and "In Memoriams"
- select the postings; right-click copy.
- open up a blank email or text document; edit paste special-text only.
