DEMARCO _ Giovanna, born on September 16th, 1924 in San Giovanni, Fiore Cosenza, Italy, passed away peacefully in her home on November 13th, 2001. She will be sadly missed by her husband Domenico; daughters Rosetta (Paolo), Caterina (Marco); sons Pasquale (Teresa), Francesco (Maria), Dante (Rosetta); grandchildren Luigi, Maria, Domenico, Antonio, Martina, Giovanna, Domenico, Maria Francesca, Slava. Prayers will be offered on Sunday, November 18 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 2025 Napier St., Vancouver with a Funeral Mass on Monday, November 19 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Ocean View Burial Park. DUQUESNE _ Helene Bertha passed away on November 13th, 2001. Predeceased by her husband George Henry Duquesne. Survived by her daughters Marguerite (Gary) and Georgina; son Robert (Carolyn); grandchildren Raymond, Douglas, Chris, Andrea and T.J.; step-children George (Kay) and Madeline; nieces and nephews Harry, Arlene, Diane, and Natalie and sister-in-law Emma Dunbar (Edgar). FAHLMAN _ Wilfred passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 12, 2001. Wilf aged 80 years was a pensioned veteran of the R.C.A.F. and a proud legion member. Wilf resided in Port Coquitlam for the past 48 years. Survived by his loving wife Mildred of 54 years; his sons Brad, Grant, Ron and daughter-in-law Terri; his greatly loved grandchildren Meredith, Andres, Danica, Michelle, Hilary and Katie. He is also survived by his sister Marlene. A wonderful father and friend, his gentle ways will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. HARKNESS _ Barry Dale, born November 22, 1953. Dale passed away peacefully November 5, 2001. HENSLER _ William, born April 6, 1916 passed away peacefully November 12, 2001 after 85 years of a happy and healthy life. HONEY _ Dorina Florence, 78, of Middleton, Nova Scotia, passed away suddenly Friday, November 9, 2001. Born July 12, 1923 in Vancouver, B.C., she was the eldest daughter of Angelo and Giuseppina (Culos) Boscariol. Surviving are her daughter Vivian (Allen) Morris; sons Larry (Naomi) Honey, Morris (Pat) Honey, Clifford Honey; sister Marcelina MacMillan (our beloved Aunty Marchy); grandchildren Shoshanna (Richard) Erlandson, Lyle Morris, Scott Murphy, Andrew (Liat) Honey, Sarah Morris, Teresa Murphy, Jonathan Honey; new great-grandson Lee Daniel Erlandson. She leaves behind her former husband Frank Honey; many special friends and relatives in Nova Scotia, British Columbia, Ontario, Washington State and Australia. During her life she pursued many activities which she truly enjoyed. She was a great supporter of many organizations over the years. JOHANNESEN _ Olga Regina. Born July 4, 1914 in Duluth, Minnesota, USA passed away November 11, 2001 after a short illness in Peace Arch Hospital, White Rock, B.C. Predeceased by her husband John; brothers Stephen and Bernard Benson; sister Arlene. Olga will be greatly missed by her beloved children Ed (Shirley) of Mt. Vernon, Ralph (Bee), Lloyd (Donna), Carol (Sandy) of Vancouver; sisters Loreta and Ruth; survived by 15 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; many nieces and nephews. KYTE _ Frances "Fran" E.A. (Cline). Passed away peacefully at home in Richmond, BC on November 12, 2001 with her family at her side. JOSEPH _ Dr. Joseph Aaron Joseph, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2001. He was born in Ahmadabad, India on October 4, 1919. He was predeceased by his brother, Moses. He is survived by Stella, his loving wife of 54 years; his children Marie Mohammed (Tommy) of Vancouver, Naomi of Seattle, and Eric (Susan Cearns) of Winnipeg; his grandchildren Jose, Shelliza, Sarah, Noah, Ruth and Rebecca. Also, brother Sunny (Ruby) of Calcutta; sisters-in-law Madhu of Bombay and Ruby of Poona, and family and friends in Canada, India, Israel, England and the U.S. Dr. Joseph studied medicine at the University of Bombay and graduated in 1945. In 1947 he was married to Stella Benjamin in Bombay. In 1964 he, his wife and three children immigrated to Winnipeg. He returned to medical training at the University of Manitoba, where he completed his Residency in Psychiatry in 1972. In 1974, he and his wife moved to Crescent Beach, British Columbia. He practiced Forensic Psychiatry at the Rivervie!
w Hospital and worked in a number of clinics and hospitals in the Lower Mainland area. Beyond his medical practice, Joey was an avid gardener, woodworker, photographer and winemaker. But most importantly he was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and will always be with us in our hearts. LAWLESS _ William Joseph (Billy), passed away peacefully November 13, 2001, at the age of 93 years. MEEDS _ Harold William, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on November 14, 2001. SALAPA _ Marieanna passed away November 11, 2001 at the age of 94. Predeceased by her daughter Jenny. SEWELL _ David James: Passed away on November 7, 2001 at the age of 47. David is survived by his daughter Bronwyn, fiancee Susan, parents Jim and Peggy, sister, brother-in-law and friends on two continents. He particularly valued his close friendships with Gwen, Jan, Johnny, Dan & Steve. He was tragically taken just as he was about to embark on a bright new future, having found his soul mate, Sue, and a new career. David had a gentle soul with a very tender heart, an spent his life looking for answers. We hope he has found those now and is at peace. Although born in Canada, he spent a large portion of his life in Australia and felt equally at home in both countries. He loved photography and mother nature and was almost spellbound by BC's spectacular beauty. Most of all he loved sharing his life with Sue whether they got dressed up for dinner and a night on the town, or cuddled up at home listening to jazz. No service by request. UNICUME _ Bridgie passed away November 11, 2001 at the age of 89 years. Predeceased in 1984 by her husband Ted. VANCE _ Edna Mae Florence (Teddy) passed peacefully in her sleep at 90 years of age on November 12, 2001. Teddy was born May 9, 1911, in New Denver, B.C. to Robert Emmett and Agnes Allen, the youngest of six children. In her early years, Teddy lived in Prince Rupert, Hazelton and Kamloops. In 1931, she moved to Nelson where she fell in love with Vern Vance. They married in 1933 and raised their six children in Nelson where they were known for their warm hospitality and love of family. After moving to Vancouver with Vern in 1963, Teddy lived many years in the West End following Vern's passing. Teddy will always be remembered for her fun loving nature, being the "Belle of the Ball" and her infectious laugh. A favorite of all who knew her, she will be dearly missed. Teddy is survived by Laverne (Oly) Manderscheid of Thousand Palms, CA, Margie (Don) Rosling and Judy Stewart of North Vancouver, Bob (Sharon) Vance of Saltspring Isle., Corinne (Don) Sheldrup and Mary (Ron) McMurray!

QUIRK _ Edwin Thomas (Professional Engineer) of Vancouver, passed away suddenly on November 12, 2001 after a brief illness. Ed was born in Cranbrook, BC on July 16, 1924. He grew up in Kimberly, and then went on to receive his Civil Engineering degree from the University of BC. Ed's successful engineering career focused on managing hydroelectric dam construction throughout BC and later working as Chief Engineer of BC Hydro. He was predeceased by his first wife Mary in 1983. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Jacquie; children Shari and Tom; sister Marion; step-daughters Wendy, Marianne and Catherine; grandchildren Orlie, Tara, Kory and Courtney. RUSSELL _ George C.J. (Jim), passed into God's care on Tuesday, November 13, 2001 aged 86 years. Predeceased by his wife Margaret in 1992. Lovingly remembered by his family; daughters Joan (Jim) Cawker, and Lorraine Russell. Dear grandfather to Karen, Doug, Bill, Margaret and Paul. Also survived by 9 great grandchildren and other family and friends. Jim served with the Ordinance Corp during WWII. He retired from the Vancouver Police Force in the mid-1970's and moved to Shawnigan Lake, where they resided for many years. WINN _ Herbert Conti, passed away in Vancouver, BC on November 8, 2001 at the age of 94. Survived by his loving wife of 76 years, Nancy; brother Howard and sister Georgina; both of California; nephews Wally (Port Hardy), George (Vancouver); great-nephew Jay (Vancouver) and many other friends and relatives in BC and California. "Bert" was a proud graduate of UCLA-UBC and became a very successful businessman in Vancouver. He was also a US WWII Veteran and a long time member of Brock House Society. His passion for art, classical music and horticulture was always present. Final resting place will be at Ocean View Burial Park, Burnaby, BC. No service at his request.
