MUIRHEAD _ Clayton Samuel Muirhead at 73, left behind the troubles of cancer and passed
away Tuesday evening, May 7, 2002 at Langley Memorial Hospital. Although speaking had
become difficult _ Clayton, a man whose life centered on helping others, still found
ways to communicate his love during his last days. None though...more eloquent than the
gift he left during his passing. Clayton repeatedly chose life _ waiting for the touch
and voice of his vigilant wife. Once assured of her presence, he almost immediately
bestowed a final, exquisite gesture of love in the only way left to him _ by choosing
his moment. With great calm, and comfortably resting in loving arms _ he left this world
to enter into the presence of our Lord. The room was filled with awed silence, an
overwhelming peace, and a lasting, eternal sense of that love. By his many friends,
Clayton will never be forgotten and least of all, by his family. Wife Doreen; daughters
Sheralynne and Leanne; sons Sheldon, Michael and their wives Grace and Sheila;
grandchildren Ashley, Brittany, Caessia, Kirsten, Amy and Samuel; foster daughter Monika
and her son Cole. Service to be conducted graveside, in the great out-of-doors. To quote
Clayton, "In God's church." At the 'Garden of the Good Shepherd'. Valley View Memorial
Gardens, 14644 72nd Avenue, Surrey, B.C. Friday, May 17, 2002 at 11:00 a.m.
