WRIGHT_ Edna Audrey July 17, 1911 to June 20, 1999 Well Mom! It's been 3 years and we
still miss you dearly. We miss your humour - not always intentional - your cheerful
voice on the telephone calling to see how we are, or to watch something specific on T.V.
or read an article - your excitement in seeing new places and your enthusiasm for
learning new things - your notes or words of inspiration you'd mail us - your
encouragement in our endeavors. We miss the strength, kindness, courage, caring and
faith you showed us every day despite your circumstances. We miss your love! You'll be
forever in our hearts, Mom! Your loving family

24, 1951. Lived in North Vancouver 50 years. Died Lions Gate Hospital, June 7, 2002.
Jean was an incredibly treasured wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and friend.
Matriculated at 15, with eight credits, played Field Hockey for her school and for the
County. A lifetime keen tennis player and an accomplished pianist. Since retirement, she
had enjoyed 10 two month trips to Mexico, getting extra Summers - until stricken by
cancer. She leaves her husband Max, and daughters Rosalind and partner Mike, Francesca
and Bill Hilborn, Margo Dornan, Jennifer and Gordon Campbell, Pamela Hurren, and Max
Hurren; grandchildren, Nicole Gillian and Bryan Dornan, Katherine and David Hilborn,
Kelly, Dana and Colin Campbell; Alana and Alexander Hurrren; her mother Meda Sizer and
sister Mary and Terrance Murphy; and nieces, nephews and cousins in the U.K., U.S. and
Australia. Also those friends of the family who enjoyed her cookies, cakes and milk over
the years. The family would like to thank Doctors - Cindy Clarke, Val Geddes, Susan
Pawlowski and Paul Klymo, who helped her with her three year battle with cancer. And
finally the wonderful nurses and volunteers in the Palliative section of the Lions Gate
Hospital. She was a role model - the sort of person you'd like your daughter to become.
No service by request. We'll see you after your tennis Jean.
BELL - Alexander Cleland 'Alec' February 16, 1931 - June 10, 2002. Left us suddenly
while at home in Royston, B.C. Alec was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He
was a keen rugby player and a sports enthusiast. Alec immigrated to Canada in 1953 and
worked in Montreal for the next two years where he met Catherine Hooker. In 1956, he
went to work on the D.E.W. Line in Frobisher Bay, N. W. T. Returning to Montreal, he and
Cathy were married in 1957, and moved to Vancouver to begin their life together. Alec
worked for many years as a Sales Representative in the construction industry and formed
many lasting friendships. He coached juvenile soccer for several years and always
encouraged good sportsmanship. He loved the outdoors and the family spent many days
hiking the North Shore trails. In 1990, Alec and Cathy began another adventure, moving
to the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island where Alec worked as a Sales Representative for
Courtenay Concrete. He was a member of the Homebuilders Association and the Curling
Club, and served a term as President of the Trumpeter Swan Society. After retiring in
1997, he and Cathy enjoyed time with their children and grandchildren and exploring,

father of Kyla (Stacey) Daman-Willems, Brian (Kirsten) Bell, Tracie (Mark) Swanson and
