CANHAM ELRICK EWEN LEWIS POLD SCHWEIGERT SCOTT

BERTRAM _ Roy Douglas, born April 20, 1921 in Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully
October 28, 2002 in Langley. He is lovingly remembered by Joan, his wife of 62 years;
daughters Mary Lynne Gibbons and Darlene (Mike) Dew; many treasured grandchildren and
great-grandchildren; other family members and friends. He was predeceased by his brother
Harvey and sisters Edna and Betty. A memorial service will be held Friday, November 8 at
1:00 p.m. at Henderson's Funeral Home, 20786 Fraser Highway, Langley. In lieu of
flowers, donations to the Salvation Army would be appreciated. HENDERSON'S LANGLEY _

BOULTON _ Dennis Cranston passed away suddenly October 26, 2002 at the age of 86. He was
born in Vancouver, August 8, 1916. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years,
Leatha; his children, Leatha Jr., Marilynne, Dennis Guy (Anne) and Richard (Elizabeth);
10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Denny will be greatly missed by his family
and his many friends in the fishing and square dancing communities. He was a master ship
wright and worked at his craft for over 50 years. He maintained his involvement with the
Totem Fly fishers club til the end. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday,
November 8, 2002 at First Memorial Boal Chapel, 1505 Lillooet Road, North Vancouver. In
lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated. "Gone
Fishing".

BOYLE _ Robert Thomas "Bob" was born in Moose Jaw, Sask. July 1, 1926 and passed away
courageously on October 26, 2002 in Surrey. He is survived by his loving daughter
Maureen (John), son Michael (New Zealand); stepchildren, Angela, Brenda (Mike), Mike
(Connie), Mac (Cheryle) and Dan (Brenda); also numerous grandchildren and friends. "Bob"
was well known as a superintendent in the construction industry and had travelled to
Hong Kong, Israel, Egypt, U.S. and Canada. Many thanks to the doctors and staff of Ward
51 and 52 at Surrey Memorial Hospital. My dad's final days were peaceful and
comfortable. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, November 7 at 2:00 at Valley View
Arbor Chapel, 14644 72nd Avenue.

CANHAM _ James Paul, age 56 years, of Grand Forks, B.C., passed away suddenly on
Wednesday, October 30, 2002, in Grand Forks. A Celebration of Jim's Life will be held at
1:00 P.M. Saturday, November 9, 2002, at the Seniors Drop In Centre in the City Park,
Grand Forks. Toews Funeral Home of Grand Forks has care of cremation arrangements.

ELRICK _ Robert passed away October 20, 2002 at age 74. Glenhaven Memorial Chapel, 1835
E. Hastings Street, Vancouver. Interment at Victory Memorial Park.

EWEN _ Engelbert "Bert" passed away suddenly on October 30, 2002 at the Vancouver
General Hospital. He loved, laughed and enjoyed life, the Arts and his sports. He was
also very involved in politics and the environment. Bert will be remembered dearly by
his loving wife Deanna and loving daughters Gayle and Sherylyn; brothers, Eddy and
Jerry; sisters, Dolores, Kim, Doreen, Joan, Diana and Carol; granddaughters, Erin and
Lori. A Celebration of his Life will be held Saturday, November 9th from 1 - 4 pm at the
Holiday Inn (Metrotown) at 4405 Central Blvd, Burnaby.




LEWIS _ Thomas Alexander Joseph - Tom was born in Chilliwack on September 27, 1949. He
died peacefully from complications arising from the treatment of his testicular cancer.
Tom fought with fierce determination from beginning to end. He is survived by his wife
Alma; daughters Heather and Aryn; sisters Terry (Bob), Mary (Bill), Cathy (Al); brother
Dave; and step-mother Margaret Lundgren. Uncle Tom is survived by nieces and nephews
Andrea, Lynette, Tom, Carla, Burt, Dawn, Adam and Tyler. He was pre-deceased by his
uncle and great friend Frank Lewis. Tom loved hunting and back-road expeditions. And
then there was golf. It was more that just a game to him. He loved the challenge, the
strategy and the company of his friends. Tom worked at the pulp mill for 35 years,
starting out as a fire-cleaner and eventually becoming production superintendent. His
commitment to his job carried on well after his workday was done. With characteristic
determination he thrived on solving the complex problems that arose. A gathering to
remember Tom will be held Saturday, November 9, at 1:00 P.M. at the Squamish Valley Golf
and Country Club. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to BC Cancer Foundation for
testicular cancer research.
POLD _ Ferdinand passed away October 10, 2002 at age 79. Survived by friends. Memorial
service on Monday, November 4, 2002 at 3:00 pm at Glenhaven Memorial Chapel, 1835 E.
Hastings St.

SCHWEIGERT _ Virginia (nee Boyle), born in Swan River, MB on March 03, 1925. She passed
away at Surrey Memorial Hospital on October 31, 2002 at 77 years of age. She left to
mourn her two sons, Russell (Millie) of Surrey, BC, Tim (Donna) of Chilliwack, BC; five
grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, 3 sisters, Alice, Annamay and Irene; numerous
nieces and nephews. Cremation by Personal Alternative. No services. Donations to a
Foundation of your choice. Special thanks to all her caregivers over the last few years.

SCOTT _ Matthew Angus - passed away on September 22, 2003, age 81 years. Funeral Service
will be held on Monday, November 4th at 10:00 am in the chapel of "Armstrong Funeral
Home", 304 Dunlevy Ave., Vancouver. Interment to follow at Fort Langley Cemetery.

WILSON _ Lynn. Born April 17, 1950, passed away on October 25, 2002. Much loved and
sadly missed by many. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday November 7,
2002 in the Chapel of St. Andrews Wesley, Burrard Street at Nelson in Vancouver. In
respect of her volunteer work with community education, donations can be made in her
name to the Vancouver Public Library.

Vlahovic - Radosav In memory, Parastos We would like to inform our Godfathers, friends
and war comrades that we will hold parastos for our dear uncle Radosav Vlahovic, beloved
father, brother, uncle and grandfather. Parastos will be held in church on Sunday,
November 3, 2002, in St Arhandjela Mihaila, 1806 East Hastings Street, Vancouver at
11:15 a.m. After the church service, lunch will be served in the church hall (located on
the church premises) in memory of our beloved uncle Radosav Vlahovic. He will always be
in the hearts of the Stevovic, Vlahovic and Leclair families. We think of you in

son,Ethan Gerhard Kenneth, born on October 16, 2002 at 4:52 a.m., weighing 7 lbs. 8 oz.
Ethan is welcomed by grandparents Gerry and Faye Meierhofer, Marie Dye, and Roger
Clermont; as well as many aunts, uncles & cousins. Special thanks to Dr. and all the
wonderful nurses at PGRH.
