KENNO- MRS. Yaye Jane Kenno (nee Yada) passed away peacefully in Nanaimo
Regional General Hospital on August 3, 2003 at the age of 85 years. Jane was
born in North Vancouver, daughter of the late Sutejiro and Tama Yada. Jane
married Kato George Kenno in 1947 and resided in Fort William, Ontario until
moving to Nanaimo, B.C. in 1989. Jane was predeceased by her husband Kato in
1986. Her family, friends, puzzle making and gardening were her main
interests. Jane will be dearly missedby sons George (Barbara) and Kenji
(Claire); grandchildren Kara, Adam, Paul, Sara, Staci and Kristen. Funeral
Services will be held Friday, August 8, 2003 at First Memorial Funeral
Services, 1720 Bowen Road, Nanaimo, B.C. at 2:00pm with Buddhist Reverend
Orae Fujikawa of Vancouver officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial
Gardens, Thunder Bay, Ontario. As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of
flowers, donations can be made in Janes memory to a charity of choice. First

PAHL, HERMANN passed away at Nanaimo Hospital August 5, 2003 age 85 years.
He is survived by his daughter Carmen and his granddaughter Desiree. Mount

SCARPINO, ROSE Angela passed away peacefully at her home on August 4, 2003
in Nanaimo, B.C. She is predeceased by her husband Eugene. Rose is survived
by her children Frank (Joy), Gino, Ted, Marg (Pete), numerous grandchildren,
great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and
cousins. She is also survived by her younger brother Ted. Rose will be sadly
missed by all of her loving family and friends. A funeral service for Rose
will be held on Friday, August 8, 2003at 11:00am, at Sands Funeral Chapel,
One Newcastle Avenue, Nanaimo, BC. In lieu of flowers donations may be made
to the Nanaimo Hospital Foundation. Sands ~ Nanaimo
