MILLIGAN, Arnold Thomas George
Born September 24th, 1924, passed away gently July 30th, 2003, in Campbell
River. Arnold is survived by his wife Cecile; sister Margaret; son Guy;
daughter Georgia; daughter-in-law Sue; son-in-law Phillip; grandchildren
Soren, Meghan, and Ruth; great-grandchild Xenia; brothers-in-law Maurice and
Marcel, step-sister Micky, step-brother Malcolm, and nieces Joanne, Jacqui,
Jill, and Janet. Raised in Vancouver and having worked in Quebec and the
Queen Charlotte Islands, he spent most of his adult life working in logging
operations in coastal BC and Alaska, retiring to Campbell River in 1993.
Remembered for his many endearing qualities- particularly his good humor,
generosity, love of the outdoors and animals, industry, innovation, and
curiosity- he will be missed dearly by many whose lives he touched. No
service will be held; instead, a gathering of family and friends will
celebrate his life privately. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to
the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

BOYCHUK, Michael
June 4, 1936 ~ August 3, 2003
Michael passed away peacefully Sunday August 3, 2003 at Sunshine Lodge with
his family by his side.
Michael was predeceased by his father Nick in 1993.
He is survived by his wife Lisa; mother Barbara; sister Anne (Maurice); his
children Brenda (Carey); Sandy (Kevin); Ken (Kim); Beverley (Jeff); Karen
(Mel); Melanie (Fred); also by 7 grandchildren Justin; Stephanie; Mitchell;
Michael; Taylor; Sidney and Braedan.
He was born in Ukraine, arrived in Canada in 1939; landed in Montreal,
settled in Yorkton, Saskatchewan; moved to BC in 1973 and worked as a
maintenance worker with School District 72.
A Celebration of his Life will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s
Witnesses Saturday August 9th at 2:00p.m. Tea to follow.


Nora Kathleen
April 2, 1913 ~ August 3, 2003
After a brief, but valiant fight with cancer.
She was predeceased by her first husband, John Foljambe Hall, April 1938 and
her second husband, Walter Cyril Idiens, October 1973.
She is survived by her son; John Foljambe Hall Idiens (Debby) of Calgary,
Alberta, her daughter; Nora Rosanne Richards (Tom) of Brentwood Bay, BC; her
three grandchildren Valerie Helene Idiens of Mexico, Yvonne Claire Richards
snow (Ken) of Mill Bay, BC and Trent Jonathan Richards of Shawnigan Lake,
BC; two great grandchildren, Emelia and Owen of Mexico; her brother Anthony
George Jaques of England, also numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and
great nephews.
Mrs. Idiens had a full and productive life emigrating from England in 1940
as a war evacuee with her infant son, then settled in Comox where she lived
for 63 years. She was an avid gardener, active in her church and the Women’s
Auxiliary. Nora also helped organize several sanctioned tennis tournaments
during the 50’s and early 60’s. In her later years she was a dedicated
duplicate bridge player.
Heartfelt thanks to all the dedicated doctors, nurses and volunteers at the
Royal Jubilee, Victoria General and Saanich Peninsula (Hospice Unit)
Hospitals who cared for her so wonderfully during her illness. Also special
thanks to her friends and neighbours at Chelsea Court who have offered so
much help and support over the past several months.
A Memorial Service to be held at St. Peter’s Church, 218 Church Street,
Comox, BC on August 14th, at 2:00p.m. COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL HOME AND
CREMATION SERVICES, 1101 Ryan Road, Courtenay entrusted with arrangements.
Flowers gratefully declined in lieu of donations in Mrs. Idiens' memory to
the BC Cancer Foundation, 2410 Lee Avenue, Victoria, BC., V8R 6V5 .
