Gregory Scott Maclean Graves August 29, 1973 - August 10, 2003 It is with
deep and abiding sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our son,
brother and friend, Gregory Graves on August 10, 2003. Greg is survived by
his partner, Donna; and five children, Jonathan, Christopher, Devlin,
Mackenzie and Donovan of Saskatoon, SK. He also leaves his parents, Ralph
Graves of Winnipeg, MB and Scotty Graves of Kelowna, BC; along with his two
sisters, Tara, Mika; and sole brother, Zachary Graves of British Columbia to
mourn his passing. Greg will also be deeply missed by his aunt, Greta
Fillmore of Calgary and cousins, Tom Scott Buffett and Kimberly
Buffett-Harris of Nova Scotia. Greg was predeceased by his sibling, Nadine
Angel Graves; his Grandfather and Grandmother Maclean; and aunt, Ginger
Buffett. Greg was born in Winnipeg, MB on August 29, 1973, second eldest
child to Ralph and Scotty. He spent his childhood and early adult years in
Winnipeg. As an outgoing young man he had many friends and built many
memories within the Fort Rouge area, skateboarding, socializing and
attending Churchill High School. In his early twenties he relocated to
Calgary, AB to be with his mother and younger siblings. It was there where
he met Donna and her two young sons. Greg adored "Jonny" and "Chrissy" and
soon took them under his wing as his own sons. In 1995, Greg and Donna were
blessed with their son, Devlin, while in Calgary. The young family then
chose to move to Saskatchewan to enable them to be closer to multiple family
members on both sides. While in Saskatchewan, the family grew to include
daughter, Mackenzie and son, Donovan. Greg reveled in the lives of his
children, as his family was the centre of his universe. A Farewell Flow
down, cold rivulet, to the sea, Thy tribute wave deliver. No more by thee my
steps shall be, For ever and for ever. Flow, softly flow, by lawn and lea, a
rivulet then a river: No where by thee my steps shall be, For ever and for
ever; But here will sigh thine alder tree, And here thine aspen shiver, And
here by thee will hum the bee, For ever and for ever. A thousands suns will
stream on thee, A thousand moons will quiver; But not by thee my steps shall
be, For ever and for ever. Lord Alfred Tennyson Greg will be greatly missed.
Our loss resonates deeply in all who knew and loved him. Goodbye Greg, we
pray you fare well on the road and now travel and wherever you may be you
will never be forgotten, you will always be loved. The Service of
Remembrance will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2003 at 6:00 p.m. in the
