The Province notes the following deaths in today's paper CHOWSEN FLEWWELLING HOGG RAZZO
CHOWSEN _ Franklin Charles, July 27, 1931. It is with great sadness his family announces
that Franklin passed away peacefully at Surrey Memorial Hospital, Palliative Care on
April 28, 2004. Franklin will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 43 years, Garland;
daughters Susan (Paul), Althea (Rex); sons Edmund (Deanna); Shelton (Helen); twelve
grandchildren, Bianca, Natasha, Nicole, Onkar, Adam, Melissa, Jordan, Brandon, Anyssa,
Erik, Patrick, Stephany. He is survived by his sisters Cynthia, Rita, Philomena,
Margaret, relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 3, 2004
at 6:00 pm from The Fraser Heights Funeral Home 14835 Fraser Highway, Surrey and funeral
mass at 10:30 am on Tuesday morning May 4, 2004 at St. Bernadettes Parish on 6543 132
Street. Burial will take place at 12:30 pm on May 4th, 2004 at the Forest Lawn, 3789
Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to B.C. Cancer
Foundation.
FLEWWELLING _ Grace Evelyn, born January 9, 1913, went to be with the Lord on April 28,
2004. Survived by her loving daughter, Fran Campbell Vass; four grandchildren, David
William (Ann) Vass of Westbank, BC, Robert Andrew (Gwen) Vass of Surrey, BC, Gerald
Edward Vass of North Vancouver, BC, Shelley Irene (Mark) Brown of West Kelowna, BC; five
great-granddaughters, Alexis and Ashley Vass of Surrey, BC, Courtenay, Cheryl and Sandy
Brown of West Kelowna, BC. Sadly predeceased by her husband Gerald Ford Flewwelling -
Mom will join him on his birthday June 20, 2004. Many thanks to caregiver Leona
Thygerson and Dr. Mike Surkan. A graveside service will be held on June 20, 2004 at
11:00 a.m. from Mountainview Cemetery, 41st and Fraser, Vancouver, BC. Memorial tributes
may be directed to The Canadian Cancer Society for Research, #103-74 Wade Avenue, East

CORRECTION HOGG _ Beatrice Evelyn August 24, 1930 - April 27, 2004 It is with great
sadness we announce the passing of Bea Hogg after a long and courageous fight with
cancer. She was predeceased by her husband Ernie, her mother and father Esther and
Torvald Nelson and her sister Anne DuCharme. She is survived by her sister Margaret Hunt
of Barrhead, Alberta, her nephews Ernie (Doreen) Hunt, Ray (Chrissie) Hunt, and nieces
Faye (Harold) Brandon, Donna (Wayne) Bickner, Linda (Tom) Machmer and many more nieces,
nephews and cousins in Alberta and Saskatchewan. Our "Auntie Bea" is gone, but never
forgotten. We love her - May she rest in peace. A Memorial Service will be held on
Monday, May 3rd, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at the Arbor Chapel at Valley View Funeral Home,
14660 - 72nd Avenue, Surrey. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian
Cancer Society.
RAZZO _ Josephine Louise passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on
April 29, 2004. She will be lovingly remembered by her 3 sons, John (Heather), David
(Mary), Paul (Barb); 2 daughters, Dawn (Theron), Cheryl (Dale); 12 grandchildren; 3
great-grandchildren; her 4 sisters, Edith, Georgina, Dorothy and Caroline, numerous
nieces, nephews, and close friends. A celebration of Josie's life will be held on
Sunday, May 9, 2004 at 1:00pm at Victory Memorial Park Funeral Centre, 14831 28th Ave.,
Surrey. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society, 1550

Thursday, April 8, 2004 at 5:21 am our beautiful baby girl was born weighing 7 lbs, 2
ozs at Lions Gate Hospital. Her two year old brother Liam received her with open and
welcoming arms. We wish her a life full of adventure and happiness.
