CORNOCK, Evelyn May (nee Harris) Passed away peacefully at Royal Jubilee Hospice after a courageous battle with cancer. Evelyn was born in BC and raised in the Comox Valley. She leaves husband, Stan; sister, Margaret; brother, Bert; sons, David (Wendy) and Gordon (Candace); grandchildren, Stacey, Stephen, Ryan, Michael. Evelyn attended the Kushner School of Music during high school years. She moved many times with Stan, during working years and has traveled extensively around the world Barbados, a favourite spot. Many thanks to all the staff at the Royal Jubilee Hospice for such a wonderful care and attention. Special thanks to Glen and Shirlee, Wendy Scott and immediate family, for helping when it was needed most. No service by request. COSCO, John Eugene Passed away in Kelowna, BC on December 2, 2004 at the age of 91. He is survived by two sons: John D. (Judy) and David E. (Gina) all of Edmonton, AB; five grandchildren: Vanessa, Julia (Daniel), Teddy, Neil and Ian; three great grandchildren: Anika, Amanda, Sophia and his companion Jeannie Wasylenko. Predeceased by his wife Frances in 2000. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 10th at 11:00 am at St. Pius X Church, 1077 Fuller Avenue, Kelowna, BC V1Y 3E9. COX, Elsa Alice Dorothea (Seebaum) Born in Clayquot, October 28, 1909, died in Nanaimo, November 28, 2004. Predeceased by her husband Edmund (Ted), brothers Louis Seebaum, Valentine Hansen and sisters Betty Smith and Maude Brady. Elsa leaves to mourn daughter Evelyn (Eve) Cox of Gabriola Island, B.C. and son Richard Cox, his wife Sage and their children Toby, Daisy, Sebastian and Sophie of New Zealand, Charlotte (Sarsie) Geddes of Victoria and special friend Amanda Martinson of California. Elsa was raised in Tofino in a pioneering family and moved to Vancouver to work at Birks Jewellers prior to her marriage. She and Ted fished the West Coast until they moved to Victoria where she became involved in many charity organizations. She was the president of Quita Nichol Auxiliary to Goodwill Enterprises. Ted and Elsa took pleasure cruising the coast in their beloved MV Yonder and were life members of Capital City Yacht Club. They moved to Gabriola in 1992 and enjoyed wonderful yea!

JOHNSTON, Lester B. (Bill) April 27, 1915 November 29, 2004. Born in Victoria BC. Survived by devoted wife, Beryl of 58 years and loving son, Barry. Also survived by nieces, Carol (Andy) Bailey, Shirley (Harvey) Wallis; nephew, Rick (Jackie) Johnston and their children and grandchildren. Predeceased by father, Arthur; mother, Flo and her second husband, Joe; brother, Tom and Tom's wife, Reg. In the Army during WW II, Bill loved music and played in dance bands, and also played for several years at the Chez Marcel. No service by request. TWETEN, Harold 1943 to 2004. Our dear Harold, a well-known interior designer and eternal optimist, died November 24 surrounded by his loving family and adoring wife Pat. Survived by his four children: Bob, Sandra, Cheryl and Richard; grandchildren: Maya, Brandon, Christy, Emily, Kayla and Chelsea. ZHEN,Ye born on January 22, 1963 in Beijing, China, passed away peacefully in Victoria Hospice, surrounded by his family and friends on December 1, 2004. Ye was survived by his wife, Wendy, daughters Meggie and Patty, sister Qing Ye, and parents Qihan Ye and Binglong Chen. Funeral service will be held at the Garden Chapel, the Royal Oak Burial Park, Tuesday, December 7, at 3 p.m. Family wishes to thank doctors, nurses and volunteers at the Jubilee Hospital and the Victoria Hospice for their care and support. 17745
