HRUSKA, EUGENE (Gene) December 30, 1939 ~ December 4, 2004 Surrounded by family and embraced with love, Gene passed away at home after a valiant battle with cancer. He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Katherine, brother Gerald and sister Lorene. Eugene is survived by his loving wife Dorothy McQuarrie Hruska; children Terri (Ralph) Fleming of England, JoAnne (Guy) Herrington of Alberta and Derek (Christine) Hruska of Connecticut; grandchildren Colin and Alyssa Muncy of Edmonton and Luke Hruska of Connecticut and brother Dennis Hruska of Calgary. Gene is lovingly remembered by his extended family; John and Christopher Sellery (Derek), Jim, Nancy, Courtney and Scott McQuarrie, Jennifer, Greg, Matthew and Sarah Harrison; Karen, Evangelos, Zoe and Sophia Dendes. Gene will be greatly missed for his love, laughter and endless supply of jokes. there will be no service at his request. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Gene's memory to the CanadianCancer Society. F!

OLSON, RUTH M. (Oglend) born in Stavanger, Norway April 14, 1921 passed away peacefully on December 6, 2004 at Dufferin Place. Ruth was predeceased by her first husband Johannes Oglend. She is survived by her husband Edward Olson; son Geir (Pat) and daughter Elisabeth (Lyle); step-son Allan (Henriette) and two step-daughters Linda (Joe) and Karen; five grandchildren Carsen, Graham, Julie, Courteney and Ellen; sisters Helga and Liv and brother Endre. Ruth has seen and traveled the world several times in her long life with both her husbands and had a good understanding of the different cultures. Ruth was an active member of the Sweet Adelines and the Sons of Norway. She loved dancing and listening to Ed play in the bands. No service by Ruth's request.
