BURROUGHS _ William Bruce "Bill", Qualicum Beach, B.C. Passed away at the age of 78 in
Blythe, California on Friday, December 3, 2004 doing what he loved, playing golf. Bill
was born and grew up in Chaplin, Saskatchewan and moved to Surrey in 1949 with his wife
Mae where he worked in the family business, the Shell Station at Whalley's Corner. With
his brother Jim, they owned Burroughs Bros. Excavating, Burroughs Bros. Concrete and in
1968 Bill and Mae moved to Port Hardy with their family to open Burroughs General Store.
In 1974 Bill and Mae moved back to Surrey and then onto Bellingham where they bought and
operated CrestHaven Mobile Park and made many good friends through golf. In 1990 they
moved to Eaglecrest in Qualicum Beach where they remained, enjoying golf and spending
their winters in California. Bill was predeceased by his best friend, brother Jack and
sister Jean Armstrong. He is survived by Mae, wife of 55 years; sister Dorothy Hopkins;
brother Jim Burroughs; daughter Bev (Frank Byce), Bobbie (George Harrison), Bruce
(Brenda); grandchildren Chris and Geoff Byce, Katie Josephson, Bruce and Mary-Beth
Harrison, Karen and Jill Burroughs and many, many friends. A gathering of friends and
family will be held in Qualicum, B.C. at the Eaglecrest Golf Club on Saturday, December
11th from 12 noon until 3pm. If you knew Bill and would like to come, share some stories
and have a toast to a really great husband, dad, grandpa, and all around good guy,
please join us.

CAMERON _ Vivian Pearl Mayme born May 21st 1930 in Tisdale, Sask. Passed away peacefully
at Surrey Memorial Hospital early Friday, December 3rd 2004. She is predeceased by her
parents Ole and Elizabeth; husband Gerald; sister Alice (Bernie); brothers Gar and Lorne
and his son Larry; sister-in-law Rene; brother-in-law Don; step-daughters Gail as well
as other good friends and relatives. She is survived by her son Gerald; daughter Marie;
3 grandchildren, Vanessa (Martin), Graham, Julie; two great-grandchildren Nicholas and
Olivia; her brother George; sister Evelyn; sister-in-laws Joyce and Betty;
step-daughters Pearl and Fern; seven step-grandchildren and their children. Also many
other nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. An avid bowler and bingo player, Vivian
will be sadly missed. Memorial services will be held on December 10th 2004 at 2:30 p.m.
at Hamilton Harron Funeral Home, 5390 Fraser Street. In lieu of flowers, donations can
be made to the B.C. Lung Association or charity of your choice.

CARTER _ Gwendolyn Knowles (nee Holmes) of Burnaby, B.C. passed away peacefully on
December 5, 2004 in her 90th year. Predeceased by her beloved husband Wilf, brothers Ron
and Fred, sister Violet and daughter-in-law Lois. Gwen spent her early years in Calgary
and lived her life helping others. She gave many hours as a volunteer with the PTA, Girl
Guides and the Burnaby Hospital Auxiliary. She is lovingly remembered by her sister
Lorraine, sons Doug (Carolyn) and Kirby (Rachel), daughter Diane (Doug) and
grandchildren Kirsten (Steve), Jana (Doug), Courtney, Lorne (Paola), Suzanne (Jason),
Clint (Stephanie), Christina, Christopher and great - grandchildren Peyton, Kevin,
Alexa, Olivia, Samantha, Colton, Kayla and Alexander as well as many nieces, nephews and
friends. The family would like to thank the staff at Hawthorne Care Centre. A Memorial
Service will take place at First Memorial Funeral Chapel, 1505 Lillooet Road, North
Vancouver on Friday, December 10th, at 2pm. In lieu of flowers donations to a charity of
your choice would be appreciated.

DHILLON _ Ram Singh of village Goraya, born October 13, 1911 passed peacefully on
December 6, 2004 at the age of 93. Papaji will always be cherished by family, friends
and all those whose lives he touched. Kindly join us to remember our beloved Papaji.
Funeral Services to be held Saturday December 11, 2004 at 12:30 p.m. at Riverside
Funeral Home in Delta with Bhoag to follow at 2:30 p.m. at Nanak Niwas India Cultural

FRANK _ Linzey Kathleen (nee Unsworth) passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 7,
2004 in Vancouver. Survived by her loving family: sister Elaine Unsworth (Rick Taylor)
and their children David, Patrick, Kathryn, Andrea and Karen; brother Dick Unsworth
(Michelle McNeill) and children Drew and Holly; and many great friends. Linzey was born
April 6, 1953 in Chilliwack. She graduated from the University of British Columbia with
a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1976. After a brief professional career, she was
stricken by illness which challenged her for the rest of her life. She touched many
people with her willing smile, sense of humour, courage and determination. She will be
missed by all who came to love her. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday,
December 11, 2004 at 2 PM at Kitsilano Christian Community Church, 1708 West 16th
Avenue, Vancouver, BC. A reception will follow. Flowers gratefully declined in favor of
donations to a charity of your choice.

HERCHUK _ Marie passed away suddenly on December 4, 2004 with her husband by her side.
She celebrated her 66 years in Edmonton, Vancouver and White Rock, BC. She will be
lovingly remembered by her husband Gerry Mullins; her mother Katherine; brother Eddie;
sisters Barbara (Ron) and Theresa; many nieces, nephews, relatives and good friends. A
celebration of Marie's life will take place on Saturday, December 11, 2004 at 11:00 am
at Victory Memorial Park Funeral Centre, 14831- 28th Avenue, Surrey BC. In lieu of

LEE _ Lin Kye. Born February 17, 1914 in New Westminster, BC. Passed away peacefully on
December 5, 2004. Survived by his wife Yee; children Ellen (Allen), Shelley (Henry), Jon
(Gail and family), Doug (Julie); grandchildren Derek, Jason, Danica, Carissa; and sister
Fannie and brother Dick. Viewing to be held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home on Thursday
December 9th, 6-9 pm. Private family gathering to be held for the interment. Please join

LOH _ Henry Tchah-Woo. It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our
beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. Henry passed away peacefully on
Tuesday, December 7th, 2004 in Vancouver, BC. He is survived by his wife Josie;
daughters Irene and Paulina; son-in-law David and grandchildren Andy, Kimmy and Danny.
Henry was born in Shanghai, where he received a B.A. in economics. In 1947 he attended
Columbia University in New York City, where he was enrolled in the M.B.Sc. program.
Henry and Josie met in New York City during that time and married in Hong Kong two years
later. In 1954 they moved to Sao Paulo, Brazil with a one year old daughter and another
on the way. They remained there until 1963 when they moved to Vancouver. Henry and Josie
worked together in their own business until they retired in 1979. When Henry was not
working, he enjoyed golfing with his friends. A Memorial Service will be held on
Saturday December 11 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ocean View Funeral Home, 4000
Imperial Street, Burnaby. In lieu of flowers donations would be appreciated to the
Alzheimer Society of BC. "Memories of you will remain in our hearts forever."

MARTIN _ Elizabeth Margaret, passed away peacefully on December 6th, 2004 surrounded by
her loving family following a courageous battle with cancer. A medical doctor,
accomplished artist, loving wife, devoted mother of four children and grandmother of
five, Bee created a warm and loving environment of those around her. Independent in her
thought, firm in her opinions and adventurous in her spirit, she lived life to the
fullest every day. She amazed others with her endless talents and touched them with her
kind heart and loyal friendship. She will be deeply missed. A Memorial Service will be
held on Friday, December 10th at 10:00 am at Boal Chapel in North Vancouver. In lieu of
flowers, Elizabeth has requested that children be sponsored in Oaxaca, Mexico through
the Oaxaca Street Children organization.

McCRANOR _ Kerry David CD, A. Sc.T. passed away suddenly December 5, 2004. Kerry is
survived by his mother Merle; sister Gail Robertson (Wayne); brother Ron McCranor
(Margaret); nieces Dana Vallee (Ray), Kimberly Smith (Warwick), and close friend Celia.
Kerry served his country for 33 years up until his passing, ending as Deputy Commanding
Officer of 744 Communications Regiment. In 2003 he served overseas in Bosnia with NATO
SFOR OP PALLADIUM ROTO 11, 1 PPCLI BATTLE GROUP. Kerry was an active member and past
Master of the Masonic Capilano Lodge 164 and of the Gizeh Temple. Kerry was an employee
of Telus for 28 years in the Engineering Department. Kerry's HAM radio call sign was VE7
KRY. He was active in Emergency Communications Support to many public service events. A
Memorial Service will be held Sunday, December 12, 2004 at 3:30pm (seating after 3:00pm)
at the Canadian Memorial Church, 1825 West 16th Avenue (at Burrard), Vancouver, BC.
Major the Reverend James E. Short, CD, 39 Brigade Sr. Chaplain officiating. Reception to
follow at The Jericho Mess, 4050 West 4th Avenue, Vancouver, BC. Serving members DEU
with medals. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kerry's name to a charity of

MILLS _ Elvira Wilhemina passed away on December 6, 2004 at Chilliwack, BC at age 92
years. She was born September 13, 1912 in Dubuc, Saskatchewan. Elvira is survived by
sister, Eva Bourassa of Lumsden, Saskatchewan, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was
predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Darby, in 1995 and also 7 brothers. Elvira an
active member of Grace Lutheran Church. Her hobbies included gardening. A Memorial
Service will be held on Saturday December 11, 2004 at 6:00 p.m. from the Chapel of
Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home, 45865 Hocking Ave, Chilliwack BC. In lieu of flowers,
donations to the charity of your choice may be made in Elvira's memory.

MINNERY _ Kathleen, born in London, England in 1916. Passed away suddenly December 5,
2004 in New Westminster. Kathleen immigrated to the U.S. in 1947 and then to Canada in
1957. She is survived by her daughter, Denise; granddaughter Samantha; son-in-law,
David; nephew John; niece Maria; daughter-in-law Donna and many friends. Kathleen was a
resident of Port Coquitlam for 10 years. She will be remembered for her merry and
hilarious nature. The family gratefully declines flowers, but requests memorial

NORNBERG _ Wanda. It is with sadness that we announce that Wanda Nornberg of White Rock,
passed away peacefully at the Peace Arch Hospital on Thursday, December 2, 2004 at the
age of 100 years. She was born June 1, 1904. Wanda is survived by her daughter and
son-in-law; Elsie and Ross Coutts; her grandson, Gary Coutts and his wife, Gai; her
granddaughter, Lorraine Cook and her husband, Colin. She was especially proud of her six
great-grandchildren, Brian, Kelyn and Shannon Coutts; and Michael, Trevor and Sean Cook.
Wanda also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Wanda will he fondly remembered for
her strength of character and her giving heart as well as her love of a good joke. In
lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Peach Arch Hospital. A Memorial Service to
celebrate Wanda's life will be held on Saturday, December 11th at 2pm at Victory
Memorial Park Funeral Centre, 14831 28th Avenue, South Surrey, BC followed by tea for
family and friends.

PATTERSON _ Louise Margaret passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 4, 2004 after a
long courageous battle with cancer in Richmond, B.C. at the age of 59 yrs. Predeaceased
by her daughter Lori and survived by her loving family, husband Bob; daughter Christy
(Steve) Domonkos; mother Helen Kalinowski; two sisters Barb Quaife (Baron), Marg
Schrader (Rick); two nephews and many relatives and friends. Memorial service to be held

POLDRUGO _ Vladimiro passed away peacefully at home on December 4, 2004 at the age of 57
years. Predeceased by his father Giuseppe. Vlado is survived by his loving family, his
mother Ana; his wife Edmee; children Jennifer and Igor (Jaime); sisters Sonia, Marica
(Bruno), and brother Sergio (Jelica). Vlado is also survived by his mother-in-law
Yolanda and father-in-law Joseph; sisters-in-law Denise (Rob) and Patricia as well as
many nieces, nephews and friends. Prayers will be offered at 7:00 pm Thursday December 9
at St Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 6610 Balmoral Street, Burnaby where the Mass of

SCROGGS _ Donna Jean, peacefully went to be with her Lord on December 07, 2004 after a
long illness. She is survived by her loving family, sister Lois Keenan; daughter Maureen
(David) Brownell; grandchildren Chris (Melissa) and Katie; nieces and nephews Debbie
(Ron), Barb (Keith) and Rob (Sharon); and friends Shirley and Dave Dorman. The Memorial

SINGH _ Vijay passed away December 6, 2004 at the age of 49, born in Navua, Fiji.
Predeceased by his father Badhur Singh and his father-in-law Himmat Singh Sangha.
Survived by his wife Mahendar Kaur Singh; daughter Pramil; son-in-law Steve; sons Vimal

TAKEMOTO _ Yasuye born on January 17, 1916 in Steveston, BC, passed away peacefully on
December 6, 2004 at the age of 88 years. She was predeceased by her husband Otogusu in
1989. She is survived by her loving sons Hiroshi and Yutaka; daughter Emi (Jeff) and
grandchildren Kienan and Owen. The Takemoto family wishes to thank Dr. Frederik Wilson

WILLIAMS _ Evelyn Frances, born November 29th, 1918 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, passed
away December 6th, 2004 in Richmond, British Columbia. Evelyn Williams dearly beloved
wife of the late Bill. Loving mother of John (Gayle), Pat (Karen) and Bev May (Hap).
Fondly remembered by her 7 grandchildren; Jay (Brooke), Amber, Alanna, Jeffrey, Caitlyn,
Evan and Jeremy and 1 great-granddaughter Ashley. Evelyn will be sadly missed by her two
