McKay, Bets
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Bets. She will be
sadly missed by her loving husband, Warner and son, Dustin.
Bets’ determination to get the most out of life, drew her to the mountains,
the rivers and the north where she and her family spent summers at their
cabin on Atlin Lake. She loved exploring the Yukon with her friend and
brother, Dan.
She greeeted every season with what it had to offer. In the spring, she
raced to get the canoe on the river. In the summer and fall, it was hiking
the alpine and enjoying the colours. The winter saw her up to her ass in
powder.
In recent years, she and Warner shared their son’s enthusiasm for hockey by
spending endless hours at the rink and immersed in the hockey community.
She will be missed by her sister, Anna Marie Nordby, mother-in-law, Bee
Blake and host of friends.
