Anderson, Helen
ANDERSON, Helen Born on August 1, 1915 in Leduc, Alberta, passed away
peacefully on December 18, 2005 in Victoria, BC. Predeceased by her husband
Edward (Ted). Helen is survived by her children; Ted, David, Katherine,
Joseph, Jane, John, Thomas, Frances, Timothy, Mary, 18 grandchildren, and 9
great grandchildren. Helen was a sweet, loving and supportive mother who
will be sadly missed by all of her family and friends. Memorial mass will be
celebrated in the Chapel of St. Ann's Academy, 835 Humbolt Street, Victoria,
BC, on Thursday, December 22, 2005 at 2:00pm. Father Bernard Hanley

Bryant, Betty Jean
BRYANT, Betty Jean (nee Lewis) May 29, 1924 December 13, 2005 Survived by
her much loved husband, Richard, of 57 years and her three children Susan
(Larry), Peter (Joanna), and Jayne (Archie); grandchildren Megan, Amy, Evan,
Colin, Kristina and Patricia. Betty will be greatly missed by all of us
including her sister Peg and brothers Harry and Bill. She served in the CWAC
in the latter part of WWII and graduated from the University of Manitoba in
the field of Social Work. Betty practiced caring for others in Vancouver,
Whitehorse and Victoria where she spent many years with the Family and
Children's Services and the Provincial Government. Betty loved to play
bridge, sail, bake and spread love and care to everyone she met. Our special
thanks to Dr. Gagliardi and the staff at the Saanich Peninsula Hospital
Palliative Care Wing. No flowers please, and any donations can be made in
Betty's name to the Saanich Peninsula Hospital Foundation, Palliative Care
Unit. There will be a gathering to celebrate Betty's life for family and
friends in the new year. Time and date to be announced later. 188222

Code, Winifred
CODE, Winifred Late of Oak Bay Lodge, suddenly passed away on December 11,
2005. Win was born February 25, 1910 in Chesterton, England and raised in
Saskatoon. She is survived by her devoted husband of 75 years, Ken;
daughter, Lorraine Gardner and grand-daughters Corrine, Melanie (Tom) Rait
and Adrienne and great grandchildren Tyler and Miyah. Win was the eldest of
10 children. Her surviving siblings are Evelyn McCauley of Saskatoon,
Phyllis Larson of Lively, Ont. and Ken Booth of Saskatoon. She was
predeceased by her sisters Gertie, Eva and Olive and brothers Bill, Fred and
Art. Many thanks for the special care administered by the staff of Juan de
Fuca home support and John Alfred Manor and recently at Oak Bay Lodge; Dr.
L. Smith and nurses at RJH. No service at Win"s request. In lieu of flowers,
donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of B.C. or another charity

DOIG, Thomas Born in Scotland on February 26, 1922, passed away peacefully
into the presence of his Lord, on Wednesday, December 14, 2005. He was
predeceased by his loving wife, Jessie, on August 15, 2004 and is survived
by two sisters and one brother and their families in Scotland. A Graveside
Service will be held on Friday, December 23rd at 1:00 p.m. at the Royal Oak

WHYTE, Frank Regneal Frank passed gently into the light, December 15th, at
home, in the loving embrace of his family. Now that he's got to where he was
going, on the far side of the sky, the first thing that he'll do is spread
his wings and fly. Frank is survived by wife Laurie, daughters: Brianna,
