Ranold Henry "Ren"
of Campbell River, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, March 8th, 2006. He is
survived by his wife and best friend Peggy; sons Jim, Jeff, Greg, Spencer
and Mikey; daughter Susan (Mike) Wood; grandchildren Jessie, James, Brandyn
and Samantha; brother Ed (Brenda); sisters Loretta and Tilly; his nieces,
nephews and extended family. He was a Korean War Veteran, serving from
1950-1954. In his leisure, Ren enjoyed camping and spending time with his
children, grandchildren and friends. Funeral Service will be held on Monday,
March 20th at 11:00 a.m. from Elk Falls Memorial Chapel, Elk Falls Cemetery,
General Hill, Campbell River with interment following. An Open House will be
held at 1970-16th Avenue, after the service.

On Saturday, March 11, 2006, James Austin passed away in St. Josephs
Hospital, Comox, at the age of 57.
He is survived by Catherine (common spouse), 2 brothers Mervyn (Louise),
Vernon (Judy), sister-in-law Delores, nephews Darrel (Jacky) and Robert,
Danny, Kevin, Bradley, and Dean, nieces Bonny/Juliet, Mandy (Stacey),
Debbie, great nieces Jessica, Jennifer, Olivia, great nephews Zachary, and
Branden, and first wife Linda.
He was predeceased by his parents Emily and Millard, brother Ronald, and
nephew Kelly.
Jim was a long time manager of a major department store chain and an avid
fisherman. At the time of his death he was a resident of Comox, B.C. had had
major surgeries and was hospitalized for a considerable length of time in
his battle with cancer. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 17th
at 1:00 p.m. from Elk Falls Memorial Chapel, Elk Falls Cemetery, General
Hill, Campbell River. ISLAND FUNERAL SERVICES/ELK FALLS CREMATORIUM,
entrusted with arrangements.

George passed away suddenly in his sleep.
He is predeceased by his father Robert Pointer, his step father Frank
Squire, his mother Beatrice Squire and his sister Ellen.
George will be sadly missed by his wife Wendy, his daughters Teri Kovacs
(Ron), Joy McLeod, and son Keith (Jane), grandcildren Angie, Simon, Chris,
and Whitney, also great grand daughter Alex. His sister Pat and brothers Sid
(Merja), Reg (Eileen) also by many family and friends.
George came to Campbell River in Aug. 1973 from Winnipeg after 27 years in
the Army Division of the Military. Worked for Arthur and Chant Motors and
then off to the post office to become a letter carrier for 17 years.
He loved to square dance and go camping, he also loved the water which he
put countless hours with the Coast Guard Auxiliary on the Point Race Cutter.
George had coffee with his best friends Guy and Mel at Guys garage everyday.
No service by George’s request, any donations may be made to the Coast Guard
Auxiliary in care of Brian Ross @ Willow Point Wines U-Vine.
A family gathering will be at a later date.
