MOESKAU
Keith Albert Leonard
February 3, 1962 -
March 15, 2006
Keith passed away peacefully, at home, surrounded by his loving family after
a short but courageous battle with cancer. Keith will forever be loved,
remembered and missed by his partner Darci Thompson, his children Erica and
Tanner Moeskau, his parents Knut and Marjorie Moeskau of Ladysmith and
sisters Mary Ella (Doug), Maureen (Francis) and Ingrid (Allister), nephews
Micheal, Pascal, and Quinn, nieces Jasmine and Julia and great niece Tatum,
his many, many friends and his dog Kona.
They’re aren’t enough words to describe Keith. Keith was kind, generous with
his time, had a huge heart, a great laugh and a great sense of humour. He
loved his family and loved his rugged West Coast life in Tahsis, the
greatest little town in the world. Keith was an incredible individual who
volunteered countless hours making his part of the world a better place,
serving his community as a paramedic and fire chief as well as organizing
the famous check point six for the annual “Great Walk” event between Gold
River and Tahsis.
Keith’s family would like to express their sincere appreciation to all the
staff at the Royal Jubilee RP1 , Dr. Grant MacLean, Dr. Margaret Smith, and
Dr. Manny Fritsch as well as all of his friends who supported him in his
battle. We would also like to thank all the members of the Tahsis Volunteer
Fire Department, for the unwavering support they showed Keith and his
family.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday March 22, 2006 at 1:30 pm in
St. Mary’s Church 4th Ave. Ladysmith, BC. In lieu of flowers the family
respectfully requests donations be made to the BC Cancer Agency.
An informal celebration of Keith’s life will be held this summer at his
parents home in Ladysmith.
