ANDERSON _ Evelyn "Eva" passed away suddenly but peacefully in her sleep at
home in Burnaby on April 22, 2006. Predeceased by her 2 dear sisters:
Margaret and Lily. Eva came to Canada from Glasgow, Scotland with her family
in 1948 and made her career as secretary at Burnaby City Hall. A Funeral
Service will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2006 at 11:30 a.m. at
Columbia-Bowell Chapel, 219 6th St., New Westminster. Interment to follow.

BAIN _ Russell, passed away after a lengthy illness at Queens Park Care
Centre, New Westminster, April 20th, 2006 at the age of 81 years. Born in
Winnipeg, Manitoba on February 26, 1925. He is predeceased by four brothers
and two sisters. He is survived by brothers, George of Winnipeg and Edwin
(June) of Vancouver; sisters, Ellen Piepenbrink and Lillian Van de Putte
both of Burnaby and by many nieces and nephew. Russ enjoyed many outdoor
activities, loved to sing and dance, loved playing the harmonica while
holding one or two of the wee ones on his knee. He raced pigeons and
belonged to a club in Burnaby. No service by request. "He will be sadly
missed by all"

BAKER _ Garry. Garry was born on July 2, 1962. He was tragically taken away
from us on April 13, 2006. He was raised and lived in Surrey all his life.
All the people he has met, he has touched. Survived by his loving family,
wife Julie, children Amanda, Ashley, Calvin, Dalton, Deserae and Chyanna.
Garry had a strong love for his family and friends, he will be sadly missed.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 26 at 1 pm at Avalon Surrey
Funeral Home, 13288 108 Avenue, Surrey.

away suddenly April 20, 2006. Lawrence is survived by his loving family,
daughters Cheryl and Christina and the love of his life Jackie; parents
Marlo and Shirley; sister Rossana; brothers Stephen (Allison) and Mark
(Mary); nonna Elisabetta, uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews. Mass of

DUNNIGAN _ Craig Robert 1968 - 2006 Craig Dunnigan, beloved father of
Danielle and Brandin Anderson, passed away on April 20, 2006 at Foothills
Hospital in Calgary, Alberta. He leaves to cherish his memory his parents
John and Nancy Dunnigan of Richmond, B.C.; his brothers David, Richard and
Larry Dunnigan; his sister-in-law Kim Dunnigan and niece Teresa; Richard's
partner Lenora and her son Alex; Larry's partner Tom Cope; the mother of his
children, Tammy Anderson; and many dear friends and colleagues. Craig was a
noted musician in the Calgary area, a member of the bands Broken Toyz and
Rumble Strip, who touched many people with his talent and love of music, his
kindness and compassion, and his joy in life. He loved his children dearly,
and cherished every moment they spent together. Craig was also a part-time
student at the University of Calgary where he excelled in mathematics. His
sadly unfulfilled dream was to become a high school math teacher, although
music would have always remained a valued part of his life. Funeral Services
will be held at HERITAGE FUNERAL HOME, 1708 - 16th Avenue N.W. (across from
the North Hill Shopping Centre) on Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at 3:00 p.m.

FERENCI _ Rose. Our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed
away on April 20th, 2006 in her 100th year. Rose was predeceased by her
husband Joseph in 1973, sister Margaret in 1987 and brother Antal in 1988.

GOYER _ John late of Abbotsford passed away on April 19th, 2006 at the age
of 40 at MSA Hospital after a 4 1/2 year battle with Amyotrophic Lateral
Sclerosis (ALS). John will be remembered for many things, including his love
of music and animals and his interests in sports. As a police officer with
the Abbotsford Police Department, he proudly served his community as a
Constable and touched the lives of many. He will be deeply missed but always
remembered. The family is comforted knowing he is now resting with God. John
survived by his parents Jean Claude and Audrey Goyer, his sister Susan
Goyer, niece Heather and nephews Michael and John. Funeral Services will be
held on Thursday, April 27th, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Ann's Parish at

GRAHAM _ Al July 10, 1921 to April 24, 2006 Passed away quietly after a
brief illness. Al is fondly remembered by his loving wife of 59 years Nina;
children Lorna (Jon) and Randy (Patti); grandchildren Scott (Nao), Christy
(Craig), Andrew and Jeff. Survived by his sisters Bette, Shirley, Barbara
and brother Terry and the families of his many siblings. There will be a
Celebration of Life held at 3 p.m. Friday, April 28 at his home at 101 -

HEINBECKER _ Ervin (Mike) July 9, 1917 - April 14, 2006. Survived by his
wife; children; and grandchildren. He will be sadly missed.

JOHNSTONE _ Glen Kenneth passed away quietly in Lions Gate Hospital on April
9, 2006 at the age of 92. He was born in Edmonton, Alberta, August 30, 1913.
Ken is preceded in death by his parents, James and Elizabeth Johnstone, his
wife Oli, sisters Margaret Laidlaw, Dorothy Bacon and brother Bob Johnstone,
who only passed away March 28. Ken is survived and will be missed by his
sister-in-law Doreen Johnstone, several nieces, nephews and good friends.
Ken's original occupation was in the tent and awning business. He later
owned a used car business and eventually went into personal lending, mainly
in real estate. Ken enjoyed boating, fishing and always had an interest in
cars. In later years, Ken loved his home and enjoyed watching the boats,
mountains and ever-changing seascapes from his living-room window. Funeral
services have been declined. Ken will rest at Ocean View Cemetery in
Burnaby. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimers Society

MacDONALD _ Hugh John Born in Vancouver in a house on Victoria Drive on
November 28th, 1926, passed away peacefully April 21st, 2006 in Ladner, B.C.
at the age of 79. Predeceased by his grandson, Brock Sadoway, his son-in-law
Victor Sadoway and his sister Jean Sulymka. He will be lovingly remembered
by Roseanne, his wife of 57 years, and his 8 children and 23 grandchildren.

MacDonald (Brione) and children Haley, Lucy, Cameron, Lachlan. Marie

and children Max, Will, Liam, Sean, Devan, Paige. Cecilia McMullen (Lyn) and
son Arthur. Charles MacDonald (Kara) and sons Braedon and Joshua. His
sisters, Margaret Legree (Paul) and Mary Derouin (Harry). He will also be
remembered by his many in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends from around the
world. Dad was a devout Catholic and was a Grand Knight of the Knights of
Columbus, Council 4615. He loved his family dearly and especially enjoyed
fishing with his 2 sons. His illustrious career with Canadian National
Railway spanned 36 years. He started as a ticket clerk and retired as the
Chief Accountant for Western Canada. An achievement that he was most proud
of was receiving his Bachelor of Arts from UBC in 1972 with top honours and
graduating in the same class as his eldest daughter Bernadette - what made
this so extraordinary was that he achieved this degree while raising eight
children and working full time! Dad and Mum shared a passion for travel and
after the family was raised they explored and backpacked across Europe and
North America several times over many years. Prayers will be offered on
Wednesday, April 26th at 6:30 p.m. with Mass of Christian Burial celebrated
on Thursday, April 27th at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church on 3900 Arthur

Hospital. Stuart was born in Glasgow, Scotland on August 9, 1935 and moved

MILLER _ James (Jim) Bradley passed away suddenly on April 21, 2006. He is
lovingly remembered by his mother Pearl; wife Dorothy; daughter Amanda
(Tim); son Jason (Nicole); step-children Brianne and Jordan; sisters Verna
(Earl), Anne (Rod); brothers Lee (Vikki), John (Barbara); grandchildren

NEWTON _ Paul. It is with great sadness we must tell you of the sudden
passing of our brother Paul peacefully in the early hours of Sunday April
23, 2006. He was a kind and caring person who was liked by all who knew him.
Paul enjoyed life to the fullest, taking every opportunity offered to him.

PETERS _ Hildegard Maria. Hildegard was born on January 14th, 1908 in Hall
in Tirol, Austria. Hildegard passed away peacefully on April 19, 2006 in
West Vancouver with family at her side. Hildegard will be greatly missed by
her family, her son Rudi, daughter-in-law Mary Lou and grandsons Michael and
David, her daughter Lydia in Perth Australia, her daughter Marijke,
son-in-law Don and granddaughter Lydia, husband Russell and great grandsons
Kaden and Evan in Perth Australia, and granddaughter Sabina, and her
daughter Monique in El Centro California . A funeral mass will be held on
Wednesday April 26, 11:00 AM at St Anthony's Catholic Church, 2337 Inglewood

REYNOLDS_ John Gregory May 27, 1915 - April 20, 2006 Passed away peacefully
at Amherst Hospital. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and a resident of Dunbar and
Point Grey for over 80 years, Greg fulfilled his wish to maintain his own
home until his 91st year. He graduated from Vancouver College and served as
flying officer in the RCAF August 1942 - October 1945. Greg was a charter
member of the Point Grey Council of the Knights of Columbus and a devoted
member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help parish for over 60 years; latterly at
Immaculate Conception parish. At OLPH he will be remembered as a badminton
coach and lively bingo fund raiser for the school. In retired life his
passion for sport played out on the links and many long friendships were
forged over the drive to perfect that swing. Greg lost Helen Doyle, his
beloved wife of 42 years, in 1985. He was pre-deceased by brother Mort and
sister Marion and is survived by children Anne Gloeckler (Garth), Marion
Gordon (Dan), Bernard Reynolds, Barbara Colbourne and Martin (Mort) Reynolds
as well as grandchildren Matt, Jacob, Michael, Kevin, Natalie and Adrian.
Funeral Mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 3776 W.
28th Avenue, Vancouver on Thursday April 27, 2006 at 10 am with reception
following. Park under new building right off 29th Ave W of Alma. The family
thanks the caring staff at Amherst Hospital for easing Greg's last days. In

RHODES _ Edgar Holcroft. On April 16, 2006 Mr. Edgar Holcroft Rhodes passed
away peacefully at Kamloops at the age of 82 years. He was a Chartered
Accountant in public practice in Vancouver and Port Alberni. Edgar is

SMITH _ Micheline Genevieve (nee Grangeaud) 28 April 1953 - April 21, 2006
Micheline passed away following a valiant fight against cancer, throughout
which she maintained her passion and enthusiasm for life with an unwavering
determination not to give up. Loving and missing her forever are her devoted
husband and soul mate, David, daughters, Chantal, Michele and Lindsay, her
beloved grandson Chase, sister Monique, brothers Jack and Chris, her dear
father, Jacques, nieces, nephews, extended family and numerous friends. Her
mother, Fernande, predeceased her. Although born in New York, Micheline was
proud of her French ancestry. She graduated from Sir Winston Churchill
(Vancouver) in 1971, and married her husband, David, following their 20 year
high school reunion where they confessed to have had crushes on each other.
Micheline is deeply missed by her friends and colleagues at the BC Nurses
Union where she has worked since 1990. During that time she advanced to the
position of Director of Administration. In 2003, she completed a Bachelor of
General Studies at Simon Fraser University while working full time and
nurturing her family. Join us for a celebration of Michelines life on Friday
April 28 at 4 P.M. at the Firefighters Banquet & Conference Centre 6515
Bonsor Avenue, Burnaby. Donations to the Langley Hospice Society are
requested in recognition of the excellent care Micheline received.

STEFANI _ Peggy passed away on April 22, 2006 at the age of 83. Predeceased
by her husband Edwin. Loving and missing her are daughter Barb; sons Dave
and Don; sisters Helen and Marion; brother Ernie; granddaughter Elisha;
grandsons Alan, Jeff, Mark, Brad, Michael, Daniel, and Kevin;
great-grandsons Matthew and Justin; and many wonderful friends and in-laws.

STEPHENS _ Sam passed away April 20, 2006, with loving family at his side.
Born in Vankleek Hill, Ontario on June 16, 1927, he was predeceased by his
wife Dinah, and leaves behind sons Bill (Victoria), Gary and Leslie
(Vancouver), Barry and Steffi (Hamilton, ON), Wayne and Janice (Chateauguay,
QC) and only daughter Maureen and Mike (Seattle, WA). Grandchildren: Jared
and Erin, Michelle, Nikolas and Matthias, David and Leigh; great-grandchild
Emma. In addition to his children and grandchildren he is survived by his
former wife Mary (Abbotsford), and two sisters Faye and Patsy as well as a
brother Garney who reside in Ontario. Sam retired as a Chief Petty Officer
from The Navy in 1966, and from the Pharmaceutical Industry in 1992. He was
past President of The Abbotsford Flying Club, as well as past Director of
The Abbotsford International Air Show. Sam was a proud Member of The
Clearbrook & Abbotsford Lions Club, Branch 15 Abbotsford Legion, The
Abbotsford Masonic Lodge #70, and The Retired Chiefs & Petty Officers
Association. His retirement in 1992 led to many years of traveling, curling
and some golf. In particular, Sam and Dinah spent many enjoyable weekends
with their friends and family at their campground in Sumas. A celebration of
life for Sam will be held at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Clearbrook on Tues.,
April 25th, 2006 at 12:00 noon. The family requests donations in Sam's
memory to the Kidney Foundation of Canada in lieu of flowers.

STOUT _ Ruth Frances - Ruth passed away peacefully on April 20, 2006 after a
brief illness. She was predeceased by her husband, Bill and is lovingly
remembered by her son, Jim, daughter, Shirley, son-in-law, Steven and
grandsons Branden and Christian. Ruth was born in Montreal and became a
resident of West Vancouver in 1950 where she lived a life of loving service
to her family and her community. A Memorial Service to celebrate her life

TAYES _ Gertrude Dugal Tayes passed away suddenly on April 17, 2006. She has
now joined her adoring husband, Charles (Chuck) who passed away just five
months ago to the day. Predeceased by her parents, two brothers, and one
sister, she is survived by two brothers - Maurice and Jean-Louis; four
sisters - Rita, Cecile, Annette and Jeannine; her godchild Josee and many
nephews and nieces. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 27,

VINCZE _ Steve. Born in Hungary and immigrated to Canada in 1954. Passed
away April 2, 2006 at the age of 80. Steve spent his life as a certified
plumber/welder in Western Canada. A long time resident of Vancouver Steve is
survived by his loving wife Leona and 2 stepdaughters Janice Needham (Hank)
of Drayton Valley, AB, and Fran Arthurs (Dan) of Likley, BC. Steve will be
sadly missed by his family and numerous dear friends in the Vancouver area.
