BERGMAN, Kenneth Bliss Carman March 28, 1928 May 4, 2006 Ken who was born in
Halifax passed away in Victoria, BC after a couragours and hard fought
battle with his health. He is survived by his beloved wife, of 52 years,
Shirley; sons Scott at home and Brian in Halifax; sister Chris and brother
Walter both of Montreal. Ken served in the Canadian Army with R.C.E.M.E. and
retired to Victoria. Memorial service will be held at Sands Colwood Chapel,
317 Goldstream Ave., on Wednesday, May 10, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. In lieu of
flowers friends may make donations to The Victoria Stroke Recovery Assn.

BOWLES, Eric June 16, 1919 May 5, 2006 Devoted husband of Edna; father of
Janice (Michael) Church and Richard (Anne) Bowles. Eric was predeceased by
grandson, Gareth (Tracy) and sister, Olive. He is survived by his sister,
Eileen (Ellis) and grandchildren, Julie Millin in Victoria, Paul Church,
Richard Church and Sharon Aldridge in the U.K. Eric was born in Bedfordshire
and was a farmer and businessman for most of his life. He was committed to
community service, a longtime Rotarian, freemason, alderman and magistrate
in his native England. He was also a keen sportsman, and international field
hockey player and noted referee. He also enjoyed tennis and golf. He
emigrated to Victoria in 1975 and recently celebrated his 64th wedding
anniversary. He will be truly missed by his family. A Memorial Service will
be held at Sequoia Gardens Memorial, 4665 Falaise Drive, on Tuesday, May 9,
2006 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your charity of

CREAMER, Elsa Kristina February 15, 1910 May 1, 2006 We are sad to announce
the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother, sister,
aunt and friend Elsa Creamer. Elsa is survived by her daughters Sandy (Gil)
and Karen (Bill), her grandchildren, Kevin (Donna), Kendra (Darren), Krista
(Craig), Kate (Ian) and Jen (Mark), and her seven greatgrandchildren. Elsa
Creamer immigrated to Canada with her family in 1914 from Sweden where they
farmed in Derwent, AB. Elsa moved to Vancouver in the 1930's where she met
and married Ernest Creamer and they raised their family. They retired to
Victoria in 1970. She was an avid fisherman, she loved to boat, she was a
great skier, loved to travel, an amazing gardener and a gifted
artist/craftsperson. She was the most caring person one would hope to meet
and she just seemed to know when family members or friends needed a helping
hand. She will be greatly missed. The world is a better place because of her
life. She will be lovingly remembered by all who were privileged to know
her. Service to be held Wednesday May 10, 2006, at 2pm at Royal Oak Burial

GALLOP, Catharine On May 4 in Victoria, BC, peacefully, in her seventy-ninth
year, after living with cancer for eighteen years. Dear wife of David,
mother of Frances (Brent Jeffrey), Paul (Sherret Nosanchuk), Martin and Tim
Gallop; grandmother of Julie Buthmann, Max and Robyn Gallop. A memorial
service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, May 9, 2006 at First Memorial

LOWE, Lorna Maude (Copley) April 19, 1912 to May 3, 2006 (Victoria, BC)
Predeceased by her husband Leslie in 1980 she is survived by daughter Doreen
(Marvin) Olson of Sooke, son Tom (Rose) of Olalla, daughter Pat (John) Brown
of Penticton, son Robin (Sandy) of Gold River; grandchildren Kevin (Trudy),
Shawn (Norma), Matthew, Pearson all of Sooke, June (Dan) Herrling of Winter
Harbour, Derin Leighann) of Central Saanich, Kathy (Rory) Scott of
Courtenay, Lynnora Gilbert of Phoenix, AZ; several step grandchildren; and
10 great grandchildren. Mother was the 9th child born to William and Mary
(Graham) Copley at Cobble Hill. Her fondest memories were of Sooke, when it
was a logging community. Lorna spent many happy days tramping through the
Sooke Hills with Les, hunting, gold panning, fishing in the streams, and
picking the little native blackberries that grew in the logging slash. A
homemaker by nature, Lorna leaves many fond memories of her crafts and
baking. Graveside Service from the main gate of Hatley Memorial Gardens,

NEWCOMBE, Linda Mary It is with the deepest sorrow the family wish to
announce the peaceful passing of Linda. She is survived by husband Ken,
