BALDWIN _ Elizabeth Marjorie April 04, 1921 - May 20, 2006 It is with deep
sadness, the family announces the passing of their beloved Betty. She will
be lovingly remembered by her husband and soul mate Jack, who would have
celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary June 10th. She was a devoted and
loving mother to her children Dianne, Bob and Cynthia and although she was
predeceased by Bob in 2003, he remained forever in her heart. Mom's
grandchildren adored her and spent many wonderful times with her. Stephanie
and Derek (Jennifer) Pink and first granddaughter Cynthia Pink (who
predeceased her in 1972 at the tender age of 3); Scott, Eric and Amy Baldwin
and Michael and Lindsay McGhee, son-in-law David Pink and daughter-in-law
Patti Baldwin (who Jack delivered) who will miss her dearly. Mom will also
be remembered by her two younger sisters Pat (Ted) Smith of Parksville, and
Barbara Galt of Victoria, as well as her nieces Susan and Wendy Smith and
niece Pam and nephews Ian and David. Betty was blessed with two adorable
great-granddaughters Charlotte and Candice Pink and eagerly awaited the
first great-grandson Clark Baldwin Pink in August. Mom was born in Winnipeg
and the daughter of Col and Marjorie Hunt. She moved to Nanaimo in 1946
where Jack began his medical career. She loved Nanaimo and enjoyed many
activities, especially the outdoors, tennis, badminton, some golf, boating
especially at Kanaka Bay, Qualicum and Parksville and of course, her friends
and Maui. Mom was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in February and her wish
was to be at home with Jack. She was given this gift with the help of her
family, her Doctors, Dr. Carr and Dr. Les Bradley and the wonderful team of
Home Care Nurses who we will be forever thankful. Funeral Service will be
held at St. Paul's Anglican Church, on Saturday, May 27, 2006 at 12:00 noon,
with a reception to follow in the church hall. The reception will be
followed by interment at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens. Donations in memory
of Betty may be made to something that is dearest to your heart or simply
love the ones your with and hug those you care for. SANDS _ NANAIMO
