CHEUNG, Kit Ching (nee Chow) Nov. 1920 to Oct. 2006 Passed away on October
26 at Royal Jubilee Hospice. Born November 16, 1920 in Canton, China.
Predeceased by her husband Sun Cheung in 1978. Lovingly remembered by 2
sons, Hing (Gwen) and Sam (Teresa) and daughter Fern (Don Yuen); 8
grandchildren Alex, Ben, Cathy, Denzel, and Wesley, Doug (Yennie), Susan
(Jason) & Linda; 3 greatgrandchildren Rachel, Christian & Sydney; brother
Man Chen Chow; 2 nieces Cindy (Ringo Li) and Judy (Tony Lam) & their
children Angela & Ricky, Calvin & Jonathan; and her many friends & relatives
in Victoria. Special thanks to Dr. Peter Meyer and RJH Victoria Hospice
Society physicians, nurses, volunteers & staff for their support and care.
Many thanks to Joyce Chin and Pastor Peter Poon for their kind support.
Memorial service at McCall Bros. Chapel, 1400 Vancouver Street on Wednesday,
November 1, 2006 at 12:30 PM followed by interment at Royal Oak Burial Park.

GREEN, Joan Leslie (nee Cross) December 13, 1930 ~ October 25, 2006 Joan
passed away at home surrounded by her loving family. She will be greatly
missed by her husband of 51 years, Art and her daughters Christine (James)
Deptuch and Carolyn (Russ ) Barton and granddaughter Shannon Van Ember. She
also leaves to mourn brother Bob (Margaret) Cross, sisters-in-law Donna
Green and Linda (Tom) Worth, and many other close relatives and friends. Our
family is grateful for the help we received from Victoria Hospice Society,
VIHA, the Palliative Care Unit and Dr. David ClintonBaker. A memorial
service will be held at First Memorial Funeral Services, 4725 Falasie Drive
on Thursday, November 2nd at 2:00pm. 310643

GUTHRIE, Ruth Vernia (nee Garrison) November 25, 1917 October 22, 2006 Born
in Halifax, NS. Married Max in 1941 and moved to Victoria, BC where they
raised their two daughters. Ruth lived her life with enthusiasm and had many
varied interests including dancing, skiing, sewing, and her favourite
Bridge, but the most important thing in life was Family. She was predeceased
by her beloved daughter, May (1991) and leaves Max, her loving husband of 65
years; daughter, Beth Bennett (Michael); grandchildren, Mike, Lizzie, Roy
and Erin; and greatgrands, Gabe, Anthony, Emma, Hugo, Daisy, Willa and 11
week old Charlie. The memorial service will be on Thursday, November 2nd at
2:00 p.m. at FAIRFIELD UNITED CHURCH, corner of Moss St. and Fairfield Rd.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Victoria Hospice Foundation,

TOLSON, Margaret (Peggy) Louise (nee PARKER) Born Feb. 2, 1928 in Victoria,
BC., Margaret passed away peacefully on October 25, 2006 at Saanich
Peninsula Hospital after a brief illness. She is lovingly remembered and
missed by her husband of 56 years Robert (Bob); children William (Bill),
Margreth (Mindy), and Donald; and grandchildren Jeremy and Benjamin. She
will always be remembered and treasured for her zest for life and countless
hours of volunteer work she provided for various organizations. The family
wishes to thank the staff at Saanich Peninsula Hospital and especially Dr.
Spencer for their kindness and support of the entire family. At Margaret's
request, there will be no service, but a small `friends and family'
gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be
sent to BC Arthritis Society. 310424

WORRALL, Ernest Alexander Ernie died October 21, 2006. Survived by his wife
Marion, son Rick, daughter Catherine and her husband Mike Williams, sister
Belle McClellan of Penticton. A resident of Mayne Island for twenty four
years. He served in the RCAF for thirty months and taught for the Vancouver
School Board for thirty three years. He loved teaching at Kerrisdale,
Southlands, Gladstone and Eric Hamber. He had a merry sense of humour and a
dry wit. He was always kind and thoughtful a true gentleman. A graveside
service will be held in the Garden of Memory, Mayne Island Church on
Saturday, November 4, 2006 at 2:00pm. 309846
