TIMS _ Kathleen "Kitty" Alice (nee Page) Peacefully passed away at Langley
Gardens, Langley, on January 30, 2007 at the age of 94. Wife of the late
John William Tims. Lovingly remembered by her sons Michael a.k.a. AA Bronson
(Mark Krayenhoff), John (Gaye), and her grandchildren Talisa and Keenan.
Kitty grew up in London, UK, where she first married Marcel Quadry, and with
his help began her own business, a hairdressing salon in fashionable Chelsea
in the thirties. Marcel was killed while flying with the Royal Canadian Air
Force during World War II. She subsequently married John (Jack) Tims, his
co-pilot and best friend, and came to Vancouver by boat during the last
months of the war. Jack and Kitty were posted around Canada, from Fort
Nelson on the Alaska Highway to St. Jean d'Iberville outside of Montreal,
eventually leaving the Air Force when the Forces were unified in 1963. For
twenty-five years they ran an apple orchard in the Okanagan Valley, outside
Penticton. Finally they retired to Brentwood Bay on Vancouver Island, where
Jack Tims died in 1988. Kitty's strength, compassion, bravery and humour
continue to be our inspiration. A graveside service will be held at the Ross
Bay Cemetery, Victoria, at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 12.

TSOKAS _ Peter March 5th, 1920 - January 27, 2007 Peter came to Canada on
August 15, 1953. After being in the resistance in WWII and taking part in a
civil war that ravaged the country, Peter left a war torn Greece for a new
life in North America where he finally settled in Vancouver, BC. He had a
smile and a kind word for one and all and gained quite a reputation in his
later years as a very good ballroom dancer. On his last day on earth, Peter
went for a nice long drive in his sportscar, returned home where he
peacefully drifted off and like a lone cowboy rode off into the sunset. He
will be remembered by friends, family and loved ones as a private and fiery,
independent person, who would have liked to always be remembered at his
finest hour. Peter's body will be laid to rest in his beloved Pireas, Greece
where his journey began such a long time ago.
